2005 Lexus RX330 with a water leak in the side rear cargo area. Took it in and they repaired the leak - nope. 2 spots leaking, 1 not fixed, noticed it when I picked it up. Took my car back and they replaced the rear hatch seal. There was no leak in the rear hatch. Leak was on left rear inside wall of cargo area. If the hatch were faulty, this would mean the leak was defying gravity and moving to the side of the vehicle. Original quote was $250 and this added repair was $270...after 3rd attempt leaks are finally fixed, but parts were missing, interior was not put back together properly and overall a very shoddy quality of workmanship. Now the rear hatch seal is falling out which interferes with the auto opening/closing of rear hatch door. And, when I was looking at the seal I noticed that again, the interior parts that were effected by the seal replacement were not put back together right. $509.00 later and my car is still not right. The owner tried to make it right, but in reality I should have been refunded the cost of the seal because it did not need to be replaced, and this would have saved the damage that was done during that process. I will likely have to make an appointment with Kuni Lexus in Portland to get my car returned to pre-leak condition. Interior was perfect before, now it's needing repair in several locations and the new seal won't stay in. DO NOT TRUST YOUR REPAIRS TO BE DONE PROPERLY. VERY POOR QUALITY WORKMANSHIP. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LAFAYETTE AUTO BODY!!!

p.s. I'm going to make an additional comment because I got a response here from the company. Yes, the owner Steve did pick up my car a couple of miles away on the 3rd attempt to repair my car. I did look at the car when they brought it back and since then there have been no leaks. However, the missing part that I pointed out to him prior to this final repair is still gone. I didn't notice that until later. And now that the seal is coming out, my husband and I both noticed that inside the hatch up at the top of the rear interior, there is damage that was done when they replaced the seal. Remember, nothing was wrong with the original seal. This was their attempt at repairing the original leak, which was in no way possible for the leak itself. Impossible! Water cannot run uphill and cause a leak above and to the left of the hatch. This was an unnecessary repair and cost me an additional $269.00 which I could not afford. Frankly, I am weary of dealing with this company, and afraid that if I return my car to them a 4th time, they'll undoubtedly do further damage to the interior of my car, which was absolutely perfect before they messed it up. I do not trust them not to screw it up again, and they'd probably want to charge me more. I simply cannot deal with...

I will never take anything of mine there again. I took my trailer in to get fixed because I had a flat tire on one of my camping trips and the tire blew screwing up my skirting. So I took my trailer in for Lafayette auto body shop to work on it. Once I dropped it off I have them keys to the trailer. I told them when I would need the trailer back. This was the first thing that I was upset with. They were not ready to give back my trailer on time. Once I picked up my trailer and got it home, I entered my trailer to find that someone stole two Tv's, an iPad mini, a TV mount, and a battery for a CPAP machine. When I called them they did not want to take any responsibility in what happened. My wife notice that the trailer had a new dent just in front of the area that got fixed. I then noticed it as well. I just want to say that the door had no visible signs of being tampered with.

Truly disappointed. I know that Steve wants to say that I picked up my trailer early but his employee never did write down that I told him when I needed this trailer done which was two days late. I told him Sept. 2 is when I needed it done. Also We did a walk around and never did we go inside. I am truly disappointed in how Steve is handling this. Trying to put all the blame on me. I will admit that I did not notice the small dent that was on the skirting until my wife pointed it out. It is weird that Steve has made it where we are unable to respond to his response and has locked us out. I only wanted my deductible that I had to pay for the theft. I am satisfied with the work that was done on my trailer.

I got a call from the owner Steve and we told me that he was going to look into this by talking to his employees. Once he did this Steve called me back and told me that he would pay my deductible back to me. This tells me that he is wanting to take responsibility for his employees. I have changed my rating to a three, I hope one day he will put a fence around so others peoples...

First I'd like to let John Adkinson know my experience was similar. So after almost 4 months and told a lie Everytime I called. I had convertible top that needed replaced. Told about a month be they could start. Now they would even cover my car to pervent more damaged. My common sense say that crazy so I covered my car... Now I'm 61 years old. The story gets even better. Joke joke receive the worst customer service ever. My phone battery is about to die. To be continued ...DON'T mess my next review will provide enough evidence how shady this company is. My car was there 4 months no work done and informed my insurance company what was happening and my insurance...Allstate Insurance..... Allsate insurance with no hesitation in having my car removed from Layayette Auto Body the NEXT day to a different shop. This story needs to be told to help others Don"t have to go thru the extreme stress for months as I was preparing .... Myself for major surgery and promised my car would be finish in the time frame. I'm sure Don will remember me. Told him I would be doing a review. I surely hope the owner realize Don action going to cost his business $$ for what happened to my car. WORST.... Word of mouth and Reviews like Mr Adkinson and myself Melonie Carrick will makes others really want to to think twice about using there services.... My cell is about to die...
