The worst company I have ever dealt with. They performed the well inspection for the home we are purchasing. We chose them because they’re local, do vineyard testing, and initially offered reasonable prices and scheduling.

On the first call, I was quoted $125/hr for the flow test (the buyer wanted 2 hours), with an additional $50–60 if a pump truck was needed, plus a $10 gas surcharge. Fair enough.

At the first visit, their tech (Gage) said the well depth and plating system would require the pump truck. He explained to the realtor where the truck would go, showed her the 10-ft boom, and told her branches above the pump house would need 10 ft of clearance. He also said it wasn’t a big deal if the truck broke some branches and that he carried a chainsaw for small clean-up. We immediately cleared about 15 ft of branches above the pump house and others near the access point.

The office called to confirm, we said it was done, and they dispatched the truck. Then Gage called again, admitting he had misjudged the terrain and now needed more clearing, possibly entire trees. Frustrating, but he was friendly, so we cooperated. He met the arborist to explain what was needed. Meanwhile, the OVS office became increasingly rude in calls, despite us doing exactly what their tech had instructed.

On their final visit, they confirmed several times that the area was cleared, then did the work. Afterward, I never heard from them—just an invoice.

The 2–4 hour test turned into 11+ hours, and they charged us for two techs without ever disclosing that was required. We never received a contract or approval for these charges. When I questioned the invoice, they said they didn’t bill for an extra 5 hours of tech time ($625) and 3 hours of admin time ($300)—as if I should be grateful!

The end result: a $1,700+ well inspection, inflated by their incompetence.
