I will never come back again.

I have been to this salon a few times - except they ruined it in my last visit a few weeks ago. A few things happened: We made an appointment, but it didn’t look like the appointment system mattered because the person I asked to do my nails were doing someone else’s nails and we waited a while before someone was taking care of us. One person handled me and my friend’s nails, we had to wait until the other person is done - instead of assigning two nail techs to two customers, they made my friend wait while the person who came after us got taken care of first. My friend was bullied by the nail tech by having oily nails, biting her nails, thick cuticles, took long to choose a color (even though they made her wait the entire time), after the first coat (even though it was probably a nail polish issue, not her fingers as she had done it many times before) and they had to scream out loud about this issue so everyone in the nail salon can here. after the first coat, he said “this bottle is just not good anymore” further proving that it’s the bottle, not her nails. We asked for them to just take it off. When the nail tech said they won’t charge her, the owner Rose made the argument that she should pay for a regular manicure since everything is done for except the gel. She said “she had to pay for your time.” Granted, we also waited a long time since we had to take turns. All of this was done out loud. It was quite embarrassing.

I would NOT recommend this nail salon to anyone. It’s supposed to be a high-end nail salon, but my local nail salon does a million times better. I have very dry feet and work outdoors regularly, so I understand my feet are harder to work on, but my expectations were not met at all. The technician I had was very lazy and unmotivated. Every time I have ever gotten my feet done, they use a grater or a stone, but he didn’t. My nail art looked like a toddler's sketchbook—my 3-year-old grandson could have done better.

My friend, who came with me, was also very unsatisfied and even abruptly left the chair before she could have her toenails painted. Rose’s Nail + Beauty Spa is THE best in Lafayette. The staff is so welcoming to everyone, whether you are a regular or a new customer. Everyone who works there is incredibly talented and I’ve never been disappointed with any of the work I’ve had done on my nails. Not only are they talented, but they are also very knowledgeable about what will work for your nails to keep them healthy as well as gorgeous! They take appointments by phone or online and actually honor your appointment time unlike many other nail salons, which is rare!
