Lagrange Hardware & Rental — Local services in LaGrange

My wife and I were moving to LaGrange a couple of months ago and went in to ask about renting an appliance handtruck. We still had out-of-state licenses, so we were pretty sure we wouldn't be allowed to rent one, but thought we'd ask anyway. While a really nice young lady made some keys for us, we asked a another guy who worked there about the dolly. Instead of just saying they couldn't allow it, he got sarcastic, acted like we were going to take the dolly down to Georgia (because that would be far cheaper than just staying in GA and buying one) and he wouldn't see it again. I don't know what his problem is, but I think he might've been the manager. Too bad he was such an ass. We ended up buying a regular handtruck at Rural King anyway. I guess when you're just a p**, that's the way you treat people. We haven't gone back since and never will. One of the best equipped hardware stores I have ever been in. It is like a mini Home Depot. A huge variety of everything; plumbing, electrical etc with one room dedicated to screws, nuts and bolts. They have everything rental you can possibly imagine. I don’t think there is a better rental business in Lorain county.

They also have gravel, mulch topsoil etc. They load it in your truck by the cubic yard, deliver it or bring your own bucket. Their topsoil is the best I have every got anywhere. We had a dump truck load delivered to our driveway. Lots of very polite employees to...

This hometown store is AMAZING! They always seem to have everything you need! They have knowledgeable, helpful, courteous staff and the owner is always there with his kindness and knowledge when you need him and we love his integrity and how helpful he’s is! And the paint department can really help you with superior quality paint and advice!
