Lazy lizard furniture Co, LLC — Local services in LaGrange

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. First, they have on their website they are BBB certified. They are not. In fact, the BBB has red flagged them. Second, they have on their website they are certified by the Woodworkers of Georgia. They are not. I have called the places and confirmed.

Third, they never delivered, never heard from them and had to chase them down, when able to connect--kept telling us another 4-6 weeks, and a year later we have no furniture, no refund on deposit (approx. $4200), and they have essentially ghosted us.

I filed a case with the sheriff's office for fraud and theft by services. Then, all of a sudden we got an email stating they were going through a divorce and that they would get us our refund by July 1, 2023. No refund. Tried to email her to follow up and the email address came back undeliverable.

Also, be careful as these people are known to file bankruptcy and start a new business with a new name. Just sad.

Not sure how the case will pan out and I will update when and IF we get our refund.

Update: The ex-wife has sent us a little bit of money. We most likely will never...

I ordered a dining table and chairs in May 2021. After constant delays citing COVID and supply chain issues the table was delivered in Dec 2021 and all items paid for in full. I still have not received chairs. Their latest expected delivery is mid June, but I have doubts. They refuse to cancel the order and refuse a full refund. Their supply chain issues have not prevented them from producing other pieces and posting them for sale. Apparently they don't have enough orders for this hand made chair to warrant setting up their machine to make them. I am referring this matter to the Magistrate Court of Troup County citing breach of contract for resolution. Update- Troup County court issued a judgement against Lazy Lizard. Real furniture made by real people! We bought a dining table and are placing an order for matching chairs. The table really is becoming a centerpiece in the house. Their pieces are one of a kind and their attitude is that their work will outlast your lifetime. Don't go buy some press board junk made from scraps that came off a slow boat to support a billion dollar corporation, buy real furniture from locals who built it themselves. As the saying goes, you can't fake steak....
