Disappointed After One Year – Poor Management & Unsafe Environment We lived at The Prose Apartments in LaGrange, GA for one year, and while we were hopeful when we moved in, our experience was disappointing and frustrating overall. Safety was a major concern. During our time there, we experienced a car break-in, and the entry gates were frequently broken, leaving the property unsecured. Trash frequently overflowed at the dumpster, creating a dirty and unpleasant environment. On top of that, loud noise late into the night was common, and despite multiple complaints, management took little to no action. The final straw came during a birthday celebration for our daughter. We rented the clubhouse space for a Saturday and, while we knew the pool couldn't be reserved, we were fine sharing it. We began setting up around 8am and were clearly seen by an on-site employee who said nothing about the pool being closed. However, once our guests arrived at 11am, that same employee approached our guests, not us (the residents), and said the pool was closed due to glass in the water from a party that took place a week prior. This was both rude and unprofessional — especially since we had received no communication from management regarding the pool being closed. We adjusted and brought out water toys for the kids to play with near the pool. Then, over an hour later, the same employee came back out and said there was also vomit in the pool. If that were the case, why not say so from the beginning? We cleaned up and ended the party early, clearly disappointed but respectful. On Monday, we returned our keys and saw people swimming in the pool. When we asked a staff member, we were told the pool had actually been cleaned the day after the previous party and that there was no glass or vomit in it. That means the pool should not have been closed at all during our daughter's party. We returned Tuesday to speak with Kaylee, the community manager, and things only got worse. Her attitude was defensive and dismissive from the start. When we calmly explained what happened, her explanation contradicted what we were previously told. First, she said there was glass and vomit. Then she said it was a chlorine level issue. None of it made sense, and when we asked logical questions, she said she was "not going back and forth" with us. When I requested a refund for the clubhouse rental, she said they'd need to inspect the area before issuing a refund — even though the party was days prior and the space had likely been used by others since. Again, no accountability. When I brought up other ongoing issues like the gate and trash problems, she abruptly told me to leave. When I pushed back that a manager should be open to constructive feedback, another employee, Paige, came in and threatened to call maintenance and the police. Completely unprofessional and frankly shocking behavior.

Bottom line: •    Poor communication •    Unsafe and unclean conditions •    Management is rude, unresponsive, and unaccountable •    Residents are not respected or supported We simply want our rental refund for a party that was ruined by poor communication and misinformation. I visited to look at an apartment to move in to. The door did not even close behind me before I was very warmly greeted and welcomed. The leasing agent started with pleasant conversation instead of usual "what apt do you want" that you get at other places. The property manager Chantel also greeted me as she was doing some spot cleaning. That goes a long way with me to see the property manager taking pride in her property by cleaning and not just leaving it with maintenance! The property is AMAZINGLY beautiful and spacious. It is clear that the employees and ownership take pride in their community. Also the shopping center being just walking distance is very convient, although Chic fil a being so close might not be good for my wallet...lol.
