Pure Life House of Music — Local services in LaGrange

Absolutely love this place. We arrived late, but before the artist was to perform. The owner met us and asked us if we were still hungry as they sell tacos before the show. We told her we had brought our own food. It is bring your own food and BYOB. Ticket prices were very reasonable. We were a bit disappointed because we had little to no notice that one of the guys in the duo that we had planned on seeing had canceled due to Hurricane Florence. He had to get home and take care of his family and we understood that. However his partner played and put on a heck of a show. We enjoyed it so much. It is a small room, small stage and it is a Listening Room. They tell you right up front that if you start to talk during the show, you will probably be shushed and they tell you not to get upset about it. This is the first time I have been here or any Listening Room. I absolutely loved it. Owner was fabulous, Talent was fabulous, room was exceptional. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely see who's playing and attempts to go...

Headliner “cancelled” at show time…owner offered reason that the headliners car or something broke down …the back up duet was mediocre at best…two guys playing guitar and singing…reminded me of a high school talent show you only sat through so not to be rude. Owner could have offered ANYTHING to compensate…an option to get $25 cover back, discount on future show, coffee mug…a mint? Gave 2 stars because I’ve enjoyed a previous show, nice little venue.

Follow up: not sure owner saw this review or not but I just got an email with refund for half our cover. Never too late to step...
