Synergy at the Meadows — Local services in Lake Saint Louis

I stayed at synergy for about 6 months. In those 6 months a lot has happened. Our first month was okay. We were moving in and getting settled. But as many of y’all know, trash becomes a big thing when moving. Finding things you don’t need anymore and throwing them away. We would put our trash bags outside the apartment door when it would be late at night because half the parking lot is dark and there are weirdos everywhere. Well synergy left a note at our door. They threatened to evict us from our apartment if we left trash out side our door. Well the week we moved out they decided they were gonna do a trash valet, that’s great but they threatened eviction on countless people throughout the apartment complex when they coulda just done this from the start. Second is their sanitation. Walking 3 flights of stairs at 5 am to go to work, you’d expect to not have any accidents on your way to the car. But sadly, one day I was walking down the stairs and someone’s dog had pooped on the inner part of the stair. So going down, I didn’t see it. And I slipped giving myself a concussion and had to take off work for a week. But it doesn’t stop there. There dog park and surrounding areas are covered in poop. It’s disgusting. And I would blame the dog owners but, synergy provides doggy poop bags once a week. It’s a roll of 50 bags. But there is over 100 dogs there. So the bags are all used up with in the first day and people are walking down the stairs with poop bags because they think the bags will be there. And if that’s not disgusting enough. The dumpsters are right next to the dog park so on windy days, trash flies everywhere. Dogs who are let off leash in the dog park, could eat the trash and die. Third is the lady at the front desk. She is the lady who calls to complain to you about what you’re doing wrong. During the trash bag situation, I received 10 phone calls back-2-back. The lady called to tell me that if I continue to leave trash outside then and I quote “the other monkeys are going to leave their trash outside as well. Monkey see monkey do” I didn’t know if she was trying to imply anything since it’s a mixed racial area. But when she called me a monkey I felt a little disrespected, and upon talking to other tenants, this lady has said worse to them. My last thing is parking, synergy doesn’t provide private parking for the tenants. But 20 feet on the other side of the road is private parking for the mall. If the customers take up all the parking. Then you are walking a mile to get back to your apartment and don’t even bother leaving on Saturdays because of the market the mall has. The customers will take up parking all the way to the very back of the complex and synergy just allows it. They don’t bother putting up signs or even attempt to claim the parking. Because of these markets. My car has been hit 3 times with no notes or insurance insight. I asked for camera footage for the camera that pointed directly at my car. And I was told that the camera isn’t pointed at my car. So my nice car has been turned into junk. 6 months ago I had a near brand new car and today. It looks like it’s been hit with a baseball bat by hulk. Provided are pictures to back up these statements. The door picture below also shows how it’s broken. Where do I even begin. We lived at synergy for 2 years and it was awful all around. The apartments are small, overpriced, and aren’t worth what they are renting them for. Let me just break down a pros and cons list

PROS In a nice location. We love the meadows and being close to things we could walk to is definitely a plus.

CONS no balcony, closet, or pantry, limited space for high prices Our building was INFESTED with silverfish, which we had for the whole 2 years we lived here. All of our neighbors had them and they were in the stairwells. They sprayed one time but it didn’t help and the leasing office didn’t take care of it until we went to their higher ups Other tenants leave dog poop and throw up everywhere; in the stairwell, in the hallway, anywhere outside, it did not get cleaned up quickly at all and it was disgusting - see pics the leasing office is rude. They always had an attitude with me, my husband, our friends that lived there, etc. they acted like they are better than everyone else and it felt like they had it out for us and anyone who complained. there are great reviews because they would have tenants leave a review for the complex whenever maintenance stopped by, by which they don’t even work here anymore - maintenance used to be good with DJ, but he got out a long time ago. speaking of maintenance - maintenance workers love to hang out in people’s garages who live here and let them rev their motorcycle super loud and stay there til 3 am. Maintenance is weird and would just walk in unannounced. They walked in on my husband when he was naked and did the same with our friends because they don’t knock and just entered in without notice. There was mold in our vents. Maintenance denied it was mold but we have pictures. They told my friends who also had mold in their apartment that is is caused from them being “DIRTY PEOPLE” There was a child predator living in the building across from us, RIGHT BY THE POOL, so those background checks seem suspicious to me, and also, that child predator still wanders around the complex hanging out with MAINTENANCE and other people who live at the complex in their garage even though he doesn’t live there anymore When I tell you that the leasing office will become severely petty if you complain about anything, and because they truly do nothing, we went to their higher ups, they become even pettier. I’m not going to say names, the the leasing manager is so rude, she made living at synergy awful. She had it out for me, my husband, and our friends and moving was the best thing we’ve ever done

I have nothing but good things to say about Synergy and everyone in the office and in maintenance. A little over 6 months ago I was suppose to buy my first house and the day before closing everything fell through so within a week I would literally have no where to live. I was absolutely devastated. I reached out to the leasing office and they were extremely friendly and accommodating, I looked at several different apartments before I decided on the one I’m in now. I signed my lease with them within 24 hours of viewing the apartment and moved in a couple days later. For an apartment complex near 64 and in The Meadows it is extremely quiet and I rarely hear anything outside of my apartment. I have had to call maintenance one time for my air conditioner and their response time on getting the issue fixed was phenomenal! The complex grounds are well kept and I never see a bunch of trash laying around. The location of these apartments are close to everything but far enough away that you aren’t in the middle of everything. Considering it was a sudden move this has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I absolutely LOVE it here and have loved decorating my 2 bedroom apartment!!
