Being seated, there was a huge spill, (which happens obviously), but the hostess had us walk through the puddle, we ended up telling her that we would just walk around the section and meet her at our table. She did apologize though. There was no warning or anything of a wet floor or even wet chairs. The table or ground never got completely cleaned up.
Sign saying short-staffed, but the server we had didn't even look like she wanted to be there, I had to get her name off the receipt.
Amanda - Out waitress took a while, no name, very blasè, introduced herself with a "Can I get you a drink?" She spilled coffee on our table almost on my arm, and no apology or even acknowledged that it happened.
Had to take my plates off the tray when the food came because they were too hot for the person who brought it out.
No silverware, so I asked the girl who brought us our food for some and Amanda came by right after and asked if everything came out okay, I told her we didn't have silverware but I asked someone, her response: "That's good."
No check on us, no pre-bussing, no question if we needed boxes or if the food was okay, (we had leftover food on our table when she dropped off the check.)
Food - Okay, wife's hasbrowns were overdone as were her pancakes.
Sweet cream pancakes were okay, nothing to write home about, Pete's in Wentzville, Wentzville diner, Tony's in O'Fallon all have better pancakes.
Bloody Mary (spicy) was pretty sour and bitter.
Reading reviews before us, this must have been a super off-day, but I don't think we'll be back and we do not recommend this place. There is higher quality food and service at other locally owned restaurants in the area. As we left, another party left with us hadn't even been acknowledged by our server and were really upset that they had been there for about 15 minutes with her walking around cell phone in hand. I've also been a server so I know the stress and pressure you have, but this was a terrible experience, no common courtesy. I don't normally leave less than 20% tip, but couldn't bring myself to give over 10, and THAT was a stretch. Do not...
Read moreMy daughters and I arrived and got on the waiting list. Once at our table, i watched 3 different waitresses and staff walk passed our table countless times. No waitress/waiter stopped by our table for quite some time. I timed this. 16 minutes later, I send my daughter to the host stand to have her come to our table. Once there, I ask her who our waitress was, she seemed confused, thinking our waitress had been by our table already. I told ber no one had been. She tells a waitress walking by to serve our table, this is the same waitress who had walked passed our table numerous times, even servicing tables next to ours. Not 1 time did she stop at ours until the hostess spoke with her. Our waitress was Rachel.
Once our orders are taken, the food took well over 35 minutes to arrive. And when it did, we only received part of our meal. I asked where the rest of our food was, and the lady seemed confused. I explained my whole order and they went back and brought the rest, only thing was, it was the wrong order..... I asked for the check and left.
This is not great service and the food was not great. I'm not sure why the service was sooo awful but I will spread the word that this place is not a great choice to visit.
I will not be stopping at this...
Read moreThe food was delicious, despite the awkward plating. I don't think i have ever been somewhere that made my eggs, bacon and sausage and then stacked it on top of each other on a plate the size you normally get for toast. None the less the food was very good. and the pancakes were large and super yummy.
Our waitress was amazing the service rating is not so much for her as it was the hostess. Who was curt and kinda rude. Almost wanted to leave just based on her attitude.
The atmosphere was mostly clean except for the stickiness all over our table. Honestly they need to move the hostess counter on the side where you walk in, it's oddly located. The hostess almost has to yell for you to find her in the crowd of people waiting.
My only other comment is that there are zero ways to know who works there. The staff has no uniform or dress code. One waitress was in leggings with an athletic top and a ball cap, another was in shorts and a tank top. For all I know a fellow diner could have approached the table and taken our bill and credit card and walked out with it.
However, if you want good food, check...
