Next Wave Watersports — Local services in Lake View Township

I cannot express how deeply disappointed and frustrated our party of four was with our recent experience at Next Wave Watersports. We had eagerly looked forward to a thrilling day of jet skiing, but what we got instead was a lesson in poor customer service and a complete disregard for our time.

To begin with, we were asked to arrive an entire hour earlier than our scheduled time, which we found a bit inconvenient but manageable. We arrived promptly, eager to get started and make the most of our day. Little did we know that this was just the beginning of our ordeal.

We were told that due to logistical reasons they would not be able to accommodate us until an hour after our scheduled time. We decided to be understanding, followed their request to wait and even checked in 15 minutes before our newly scheduled time, thinking that this would demonstrate our commitment to being on time. Unfortunately, it seemed that our commitment meant nothing to the Next Wave Watersports team.

When we finally arrived for our rescheduled time, hoping to finally hit the water, we were met with nothing but disappointment. We were informed that they had just sent out the jet skis for the previous group and that we would need to wait yet another hour. This was the breaking point.

Not only did they make us wait for an hour, but they also completely disregarded our commitment to their ever-changing schedule. It felt like our time and convenience meant absolutely nothing to them. We were left wondering if they had any respect for their customers at all.

This experience with Next Wave Watersports was nothing short of a nightmare. We had been looking forward to an exciting day on the water, but instead, we wasted our time waiting around for a company that clearly has no regard for punctuality or customer satisfaction. We certainly won't be returning to Next Wave Watersports, and we'll be sure to share our unfortunate experience with others who are looking for water activities with a company that respects their customers' time and...

July 2019, Experienced boater BEST PLACE FOR MODERATE AND EXPERIENCED RIDERS!!!

If you need you adrenaline levels boosted or feel like just cruising the shores of Lake Michigan on a jet ski, but you don't own one, call these guys. Next Wave Watersports rented us (almost brand new) 2 Yamaha Jet skis, for the entire day, so It was our decision where to take them for a splash. After doing the paperwork and inspection of the watercraft, we picked them up (early morning in Alsip, IL) on their trailer, and towed with our vehicle to Diversey Harbor (Chicago), on the lake Michigan. Launched them (dropped them in water - $27 fee, parking included), parked the SUV and trailer, and spent the rest of the day riding on the lake, enjoying magnificent views of Chicago skyline. Returned them safe later that day. We had a blast!

IF YOU RENT FROM NWW: You will lose several hours of your day for operations (pick-up, launching, retrieving, drive back). You pay for rental ($$$depends on PWC you take), deposit ($500 per ski), fuel you burned driving and for ski launch fee($27), if you decide to take them to Chicago Harbors. You need to take extra caution when towing, launching and retrieving skis, as well as when being out on the water! Every rental place(including NWW) will charge you for damages caused to the skis ($$$ per inch), so you need to take extra caution.

Note: IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER OR RIDER WITH LOW OR NO HOURS ON A JET SKI, GO RENT @ OTHER (PER MINUTE) PLACES. Why? -Because you will most likely feel dead after 30 min - 1 hr of riding the jet ski. Not many people are physically fit to ride these water monsters, you need strong muscles!

RENTING FROM OTHER PLACES: There are other places offering "per minute" Jet Ski rental, conveniently located on beaches, nice and easy! Well yes, but with rental fees much steeper ($100-$150) per hour. None of them offer entire day rental, and you have limited area (imaginary boxes) where you can ride. You don't pay for...

Had such an awesome time renting jet skis, but what really made it special was Sam and Yaj. They were amazing hosts—super friendly, welcoming, and made us feel like we were in good hands from the start. It was also my birthday and they made sure it was special.

They explained everything clearly, helped us get set up, and made sure we were comfortable before heading out. You could tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a good time. The whole experience felt super chill and fun thanks to them.

Jet skis were fast, everything ran smoothly, and the whole process was easy. Can’t recommend this place enough—especially if you get to meet Sam and Yosh. Appreciate you both! Definitely...
