Wakesurf Chicago — Attraction in Lake View Township

Booked a month prior for a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend and our friends. It was an amazing memory and we hope to go again before the season is out. Marco (Owner) is professional and was prompt in his email/phone responses for booking.

We had a group of 6, two of us were experienced and the rest were first timers. Marco did an amazing job coaching as well as driving and maneuvering the boat. It’s definitely not easy to do!

We went super early so there wasn’t a lot of people outside yet, but the water was choppy due to a storm coming in. Even so, all of us managed to get up and ride a few times.

Highly recommended for a unique and fun experience. If there’s any advice I can say for any newbies, here it is: you’re gonna fall, it doesn’t hurt, don’t fight the board and let the water flip up to you, stay relax, sit down on the board like you would to get up off a couch, keep your arms extended, don’t wrap your hand around the rope, take ibuprofen afterwards if you’ve never done it before cause you might be sore the next day. Lol

Each time I’ve been I always meet the coolest people who are stopping in from all over the world to jump at the chance to surf in the iconic playpen and the Chicago Lake front. Had an amazing time with Wakesurf Chicago! The vibe was super relaxed, and the whole crew made me feel welcome right away. Marco was a great instructor — patient, encouraging, and clearly knows his stuff. I’ve tried a few water sports before, but this one was by far the most fun.
