We would absolutely recommend Yofi Photography. We booked a Maternity Session for our first pregnancy after browsing for some photographers, looking to use them at a baby shower but also for the memories. We loved the portfolio on Yofi's website, and the style of all the photos. There was a perfect combination of professional and natural-ness to them. Our experience with Vlad during the photo shoot was great! We were at North Avenue beach in May, and the sunset was perfect. We weren't sure what to do, but Vlad really made us feel comfortable and had many good suggestions for solo and couple poses. When we received the photos we couldn't be happier - they came out so beautiful! We had some printed for the baby shower and received lots of compliments on them. We still have these photos framed and up in our house.

After the baby was born, we were on the fence about doing another photoshoot with the baby, but after some consideration we decided to do it. Since we loved the maternity pictures so much, we reached out to Yofi again and booked an in-home Lifestyle session. As you might guess with a newborn baby, 5 weeks old, we were severely lacking sleep and the baby was not eating well, had not slept well, and cried a lot the day of the session. In this situation, Vlad was wonderful! He was patient, and even gave us some time to feed her to calm her down. He also gave several suggestions for poses. At one point during the photo shoot the baby napped and we got some sweet sleeping pictures.

When we received the finished photos I was amazed - they all came out so beautiful and it didn't even look like the baby struggled. He even captured so many cute pictures of the baby smiling and looking into the camera. We were more than happy with the photos, we loved loved loved every single one of them!! We made some collages to share with our family and also a little canvas print for my office at work. From the moment I saw Yofi Photography's website, I knew I wanted to book our maternity shoot with them! Their photos were incredible and I couldn't wait to work with them! From the moment I first sent in my request to the day I received our photos, everything was incredibly smooth and Vlad was so helpful! Vlad and Rachel have done a great job using technology to communicate seamlessly from beginning to end! Vlad helped us select the perfect location for what we were looking for and then did an excellent job monitoring the weather maneuvering our photo shoot time to best capture the sun light and beautiful fresh fallen snow.

During our actual shoot, Vlad made both my husband and I feel very comfortable which allowed us to take the best natural photos! He took advantage of the beautiful white snow and gorgeous outdoor scenery to create a beautiful backdrop for each and every photo! Although it was freezing outside, he made the hour go by quickly and enjoyably!

Once we received our actual photos we were even more thrilled! Each and every photo we received turned out beautifully and accurately captured the true emotion my husband and I were feeling!

We booked the First Year package before our daughter's birth in December 2017 and have loved working with Rachel / Yofi Photography! Rachel has been terrific, from answering my first inquiry all the way through our current planning for our upcoming 6-month baby/family photos. I don't feel comfortable in front of the camera in the best of circumstances, and I was nervous about our newborn photos being within the first two weeks of our baby's birth: we were exhausted, frazzled, and just getting out of the house in those early days with our newborn was daunting. I should not have worried -- Rachel made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we met her at the studio. In fact, she used to be a nanny and is incredibly patient, and she has an amazing calming effect on unpredictable newborns. Our newborn photo session with her was so sweet and memorable, and we cannot say enough great things about her photos. Compared to other photographers in the city, we really like that you don't have to commit to spending a certain amount of money on prints, and you actually own digital copies of your finished set of non-watermarked photos.
