I went for a haircut I asked to have around 6 inches cut off, Deb did do that the length was perfect! I asked for some shorter layers because my hair is very curly and if I do not have layers I look like I have a 90s bob and my hair is shaped like a bell the Liberty Bell without the crack. I went out the door with a wet head and that was my option. However she did not use no product in my hair I’m in Florida my hair is very curly and it’s summer season humidity is crazy. Approximately two hours later I go back in to her surprise she says oh you are back and I explained that I had no layers and needed some because I have that Liberty Bell look and asked if she could possibly please cut some layers in my hair there was no layers at this point in time. she wrapped the cape around me she took a comb to my dry curly hair I can’t even explain to you how uncomfortable that was to my scalp first of all and she blatantly told me that I did not want layers in my hair her words to me was believe me you don’t want layers and I said I’m sorry but I do she said I don’t think you do I said well I really do I don’t like this Bell look that I have she grabbed my hair held it out and said I’m telling you you don’t want layers at this point in time I’m not trusting this woman with scissors near my head any longer I took the cap off I laid it on the chair and told her that I was leaving there was another lady that offered to do my hair at this point I was so frustrated and upset I really just needed to get out of the salon. I will never step foot in that salon again but for those of you reading this don’t think that it’s all great clips that I’m giving a bad rap to you because I went to the great clips on Harden Boulevard in the target plaza and they listened and cut my hair exactly like I asked I forgot to mention I showed Debbie a picture of my hair from last October with shorter layers and explain to her how much I liked my hair like that and that is what I was looking for again. I’d like to tell you that I’m super sorry about this long rant but I’m not please beware stay away from that location. Unsatisfactory for sure...
Read moreMy first experience in March 2024 was good. Avery very good hair stylist cut my curly hair with layers and it was amazing. I came back 4 months later asked for Avery she was great again. Couple months later went back she was not there. Yesterday decided to go again and asked again and the lady told me Avery doesn’t work there anymore and said they had a new person that could do my hair. I said make sure to see in the system the hair cut Avery did, layers she said. The new lady took a while to get in and showed up with a hair that didn’t appear a hairs stylist hair, very different than Avery presentation. I told her I wanted my haircut like Avery did, layers, my curly hair length on the shoulders, I told her my hair is curly so need to finish on my shoulders. She cuts my hair and did it really short, the layers are all over the place, without finishing it well. I don’t have layers I have 2 heights on my hair, curly I look like the mushroom of super Mario, a lamp. Volume on the top, it is terrible. Now I am spending money to fix it. Today a lovely hair stylist from another salon helped on Sunday doing a Brazilian blowout to fix it, and what we found out it is not layers, it is 2 levels. Today I spent $150 to fix a $23 haircut. Tomorrow I will spend $60 more with another hair stylist to fix the haircut. I mean $210 + the time and gas to fix a $23 haircut from a person who has no clue how to cut a curly hair. Please if you are a woman and want you hair beautiful go to someone who does more than cut hair but it is a real stylist. Great clips I hope to...
Read moreMy husband and I had about an hour to kill while waiting on my son to join us for dinner so we both decided to pop in to Great Clips. I got a trim and he got a buzz cut. We got the senior's price, $16.00 each and along with a $5.00 tip for each stylist, we spent $42.00 total. I was satisfied with the price the professional, but mostly impressed with the speedy service because they seemed to know thier craft and had excellent customer service skills. I really appreciate professional individuals who take responsibility for knowing what their job responsibilities are and executing them competently. I find it appalling that there are clerks who can't count change, and doctors who force thier patients to do thier own research because they either don't know or don't care enough to really do their jobs and make sure thier patients know what to do after a serious diagnosis like kidney failure. It seems like such a small thing; comparing a good haircut to incompetent doctor's care, but I see good customer service so infrequently anymore, that on the rare occasions when I do encounter it, I have to relay the good news. It seems poor service has become the accepted norm. It's a sad commentary on our...
