This particular Harvest was not the best shopping experience. It was my first time at this Harvest Meat Market. I just moved to this area from Kathleen. I'm used to the Kathleen Harvest Meat Market which is phenomenal. The staff was not pleasant at all. They were very cranky and unfriendly except for the cashier. I only got my veteran/military discount on drinks, none on meat. I'm not used to Harvest skimping on the military discount. It was very alarming almost as if this specific Harvest doesn't value the military and veterans who put their lives on the line for their freedom; I only get a 10 percent military discount on mountain dew and milk. They are a meat market whose primary function is to sell meat, but won't honor their military and veterans a small discount on that meat. The selection to choose from was not very much. Many of the steaks were brown. I normally spend $200 to $300 twice a month at Harvest. Today I only spent $61. That tells you how bad the selection was. When I got home to unpack the meat into freezer containers, one pack of boneless chicken breast odor was so rancid that it made me nauseated. I'm not even going to take it back for my$10 to be returned because I'd rather lose the money than go back and deal with these people again. I will be driving to the Kathleen Harvest Meat Market from now on to get my meat, because they have a much better selection and they value their military, veterans and first...

I just never felt compelled to go back, even though I could be interested in their products and despite the fact that I'm near the store everyday...I've been prob 2 times and that was plenty for me.
I'd rather go to that bright yellow and red discount Mart down the street that also has discounted meats and quite frankly feels like you're shopping g in a third world country. No, actually, more like shopping in the islands. But, I love that place. It's bright and lively and weird and fun.
Ah ha,I figured it out. The store has a bad atmosphere. I remember now...quiet like you're in a doctor's reception room. The colors were bland. The experience, in and off itself made me want to get out of there and not wait in line to pay for things. I'll check it out again to confirm.
Atmosphere, ambiance and experience play just as much a factor in having people go to your store as prices and weekly deals. That's...
