The Egg Factory — Restaurant in Florida

Pretty upsetting experience. I walked in and stood next to the register patiently waiting for someone to seat me. There were people coming in after me just getting seats so I don't know if you just seat yourself or they have reservations. Not one employee helped me, multiple employees walking by and the employee at the register I was standing right next to would not acknowledge me until 20 mins later asking me if I was dining in. She realized I waited so long though she did not apologize or do anything to try and make it better even though I had wasted so much time and multiple people that came after me got seats. I get my table and the waitress is rushing me right away trying to get me to order though I've been there for 20 mins already I have not looked at the menu yet. I got my food. It was pretty good but whole eating the waitress throws the check at me and tells me to pay up front. I felt like I wasn't wanted. I paid and you're damn right I didn't leave a tip. They need to rectify the situation or they'll never...

The food was eh and soggy. The atmosphere was cute and cozy until my interactions with the staff. If i could give a zero for service I would. In fact I'd give a negative. The worker Courtney was completely rude and unprofessional. I think I overheard she's a manager which no wonder the rest of the staff is less than friendly as that is the standard and example being set. There was profanity bring used in front of customers. At first i thought maybe it was just a bad day but saw another review of a customer that had a similar experience. It also seemed like there were several staff kids there as well so I guess a daycare is being run out of the back as well which is absolutely unprofessional and can't be safe and the health dept and DCF should be called...

Imagine a classic, great hole-in-the-wall diner, and you will know exactly what the Egg Factory is. Such a hidden gem of a place! They have a lot of good breakfast and lunch options, all for ridiculously good prices considering the food is true quality. I got the steak tips with peppers and onions and it was oh so good. The steak was soft yet chewy, and when I added in the side order of eggs I got it was a fantastic meal, for super cheap! Their biscuits are nice too, super soft and not too dense. My dad got the chicken fried steak and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee is pretty good as well. All of the staff was really kind and attentive to us and it was just a really laid-back, refreshing atmosphere. I’ll be come back...
