Clearlake Outdoors — Local services in Lakeport

Stopped in at clearlake outdoors while driving through town. There was three gentleman in the store at the time, I explained that I wanted to go fishing but didn't have the equipment or knowledge. Without any hesitation, an older gentleman and a fisherman gave me lots of useful advice and tips on some local fishing spots. The fisherman asked what kind of budget I was working with and picked out some beginner friendly fishing gear

The young man working the register was kind enough to spool the line on the reel and tie up the lure/hook.

I was all set in about 15 minutes, fishing license, gear, and some local knowledge.

Thank you for welcoming me into your town, this is something I'll cherish for...

Tanner and Jai were very helpful in getting our five-year-old (and us) started with her first rod and reel. They talked us through what we needed and even helped her practice in their big fish tank. We were also able to purchase a handful of other lake necessities, namely gloves, a sunshirt, and anti-spill can coolers. We had a successful day on the water and our kiddo caught her first fish: a 5-ish lb bass! Thanks again to two super helpful guys and your neat (literally well-organized and stocked) store. We’ll be sure to stop in again on our next trip...

This is the only store in Clear Lake that I've ever been where the staff will approach and share stories, give advice on the lake and what the Bass are biting on. PLUS all the top notch quality tackle and supplies.. I stop here every time I get a chance when fishing Clear Lake. I messed up on one of the staff guys name . I got the first part right... "float tube" MIKE.. lol. Thanks alot guys for all your help and making me feel like a local fisherman when I come...
