Chilly Kicks — Local services in Lakewood

Same thing as many others are unfortunately saying.... I've been looking for a cool spot to find some decent priced Jordans and Air Maxes for myself and to grab for Christmas for family and the Security guard was more hospitable and welcoming than the owner which is sad in a small community. Doesn't greet you when you walk in or build a rapport which is a huge red flag. I've been going to the same small local clothing stores for decades and can call the owners and employees friends, and when you get few word answers back to questions or attempt to get guidance on something and hit a brick wall it's a very uneasy feeling... Especially when it's advertised as a second hand shoe store and prices are on average $200+ a pair. If I'm going to drop a bag on shoes.... It sure as heck is not going to be at a shop where I don't feel welcome. Not disrespecting you at all Moe, I hope to give it another shot in the future but I hope you can find some joy and make some positive changes because you really do have the spot and the layout to bring something to our town that it really needs. Came and bought this pair as a gift. Talked to the owner prior to the sale if there’s possibility for exchange if the shoes don’t fit the person.

He approved and said yeah bring ‘em in if they don’t fit. A week later the person came back with the shoes for an exchange “ knowing they only tried them indoor never stepped out but owner claims they were worn out with high degree of weirdness about the whole thing little to no customer service skills or possible accommodation “

I certainly wouldn’t spend my money here. I wish I have checked the reviews before I stopped by because they literally did this to another customer not long ago (based on reviews).

I’m from California and I’ve gone to many sneaker stores across America but I’ve never found one as amazing as ChillyKicks. The owner Moe is super friendly and chill and has always been willing to negotiate and buy my sneakers, this store has helped me so much when I needed to clear out inventory or get some extra cash on hand, they even do holiday events! I just moved here in time for the Black Friday sale in November and got fire red 4s for under retail! ChillyKicks is for the community to say the least. You’d be a fool to not buy or sell...
