I was very excited to check out this sushi spot since I had read about it in a recent "new" restaurant review. I was very let down. I've done sushi in Japan, all over the US, Canada, and the Caribbean, I know good sushi. Maybe I had too much of an expectation, because this was just basic sushi. I knew the place was new, so I made a reservation for 7pm on 5/19. We got there at 645pm and we didn't need the reservation, awesome. We got seated promptly and our server was very nice. We ordered the sushi combo, dynamite roll, and the Alaska roll at around 655pm. The place wasn't busy at all, there were two other tables sat, but the occasional takeout order was picked up every so often. We started to wonder where are food was at about 715pm, because it doesn't take that long to make this stuff, but we remained patient, maybe there is a good presentation I'm going to see? Finally, at 740pm I told my wife, "when I see the server I'm going to ask what's taking so long", when she came out again at 745pm she had our food. Nearly an hour for what is pictured. Yeah, it didn't taste bad, the dynamite roll was very spicy, just how I like it, but very underwhelming for waiting nearly an hour. It's sad to say, but I could have gone to Giant Eagle or Heinens for the exact same thing and without the LONG wait. We finished, the check came out to $48.49 + 9 for the server. I worked as a server throughout college, I know none of my gripes were her fault, so I gladly tipped her for her job. While I was paying the bill the table next to us commented when their two special rolls we delivered, "wow, that was quick!", which further annoyed me about the experience. We left very disappointed. There are much better places in the Cleveland area when it comes to service and quality. The best place around is a small hole in the wall in Parma. Yes, Parma. It's called Mizu, and when I was living in Avon Lake I would drive the hour round trip for dine in and takeout all the time. Shinto, in Westlake is also very good. If you're ever in Toronto, Jabistro is AMAZING and they have a sister restaurant in Tokyo called Kinka, I've been their twice, and is also AMAZING. I highly recommend just going to their IG pages to take a look. It. Is. Amazing. I wasn't expecting this place to be at that caliber, but I expected better than grocery store sushi and a reasonable wait time. I won't be coming back. The only reason I'm giving this two stars and not one is because our server was nice.

Very surprised here to be honest, first time ever coming over here after recently moving to Lakewood. Ratings on Google seemed decent and we placed an order for over $50 worth of dinner to-go. We were told it would be about 45 minutes. Once I got there, they told me that they were running a bit behind and it would be another 30-35 minutes. Not going to lie, I was a tad frustrated but it was a Friday so I understood. I paid for my food while I was waiting and then asked if I could sit at the bar while I waited. They said no and they did not have any seats to offer me to sit while I waited and they said I could wait in my car and they would call me when the order was ready. So I did and I worked on some computer work while I waited. I came back in after 40-45 minutes with NO call and they said that they were really sorry, that I was 4th in line, and it would be about another 30 minutes. By this point, I was completely fed up after waiting for 2 appetizers and 3 rolls that I just asked for my money back and left. I wouldn’t have been so upset had they just been upfront with me and honest about the wait time or the half dozen other people who walked in and out with take out orders that I watched while I waited. Instead, I waited 2 hours for literally nothing. Either way, I’ll be giving my business to establishments like VooDoo Tuna and other places around town because this one sure was a disappointment. 👎🏼😒🍣

Stopped in with Wifey for a quick bite just before the rain. Seated quickly in one of the comfy open booths. Service was a tad slow but it was just moments after opening. Looking over the menu prices seemed a bit high for a “casual” sushi spot. Ordered a few appetizers, some sushi and some of the suggested rolls. I was surprised to hear that the dumplings or gyoza were only available steamed or “deep fried”. Different. As for the rolls and sushi options there is quite a bit of ingredient repetition. This is common in sushi restaurants that are casual but this one was a bit overkill. Service interaction was on the awkward side which I’ve noticed on other reviews as well. Food was delicious, flavorful and presented well. Portion sizes were on the micro side. Drink options very limited. Music selections very upbeat and hip/trendy kinda club like. Overall fun experience, good food but on the pricey side for portion sizes and quality.

I have never in my life been treated like this in any restaurant this place is racist and ignorant I went to pick up uber eats order. I had no issues with the first young lady. I left then came back because I got a second order. It wasn't ready so I waited took a few steps and a Asian lady says what are you doing I said oh just trying to get my steps in for the day. I said if you don't want me to walk any further I won't I'll just stay right here. Mind you there isn't anybody in the restaurant besides the workers. So a few minutes later I received a phone call from my job I manage 6 group homes. The Asian lady walks up to me yelling this is a restaurant you can't talk on your phone in here you need to go get out I'm like huh mind you she's in my personal space pointing her hands all in my face I asked her to stop and told her I've never in my 42 years of life heard you can't answer your phone in a restaurant especially a empty one at that that is literally minutes from closing. I told her I have businesses that I run myself I've never heard of such a thing. I asked her was my order ready so I can go because I don't have time for this she was very irate I don't know if she's on drugs or what but I really didn't understand why she was behaving so irrationally At this point I'm pissed so of course I had a few choice words for her because her behavior was totally irrational. She literally was inches away from hitting me in the face. She then said I'm not giving you anything I told her ok and told her to have a nice night. She also told me if I run a business I should know I couldn't be on the phone I'm like what ok lady I hope you have a great night. I waited on this order for 20+ minutes to be treated like a animal just so she could refuse to give me the order which is insane. I've been to this restaurant many times I've never had an issue before. I will not return I don't care how much the order is I will not be treated like trash because I answered my phone in a empty restaurant. I really hope she isn't the owner. I also reported her to uber and I'll be also reporting her to anyone else that needs to know. How do you go pick up an order and be verbally Assaulted and almost physically attacked just wow I'm still in disbelief. If you're going to have worker like that this restaurant needs to be shut down. I would never throw my life away because of someone like her that's why as pissed as I was I just left. Hopefully the owner looks at the cameras and fire her because if she keeps this up they'll be out of...
