Meat Center — Local services in Lancaster

One of my journeys to try new places I stopped at the meat center. I was hoping that maybe the products would be either grass fed, free range, antibotic free, or organic. I spoke to an employee who works in the meat cutting department. He was very nice and told that only the black Angus products were certified. He stated that their other products come from other outside sources. He could not state if they were antibiotic free or any of the other questions I ask. While I greatly appreciate his honesty, it was disappointing. I know I am in a small minority but I live a more healthy lifestyle. I try not to consume or purchase anything that has been fed antibiotics, or not grass fed or organic. I will say the store was especially clean and organized, which is wonderful to see these days. This is a review of The meat center store in Lancaster South Carolina. If you have not found this gem you need to make the time and do it not only do they have a fantastic selection of meats, they also have a small amount of vegetables and they have Frozen type meats like frozen chicken fingers and frozen fish sticks and frozen tater tots and french fries etc. Places usually pretty busy so be prepared for that however the staff is super friendly and helpful and if you're looking for something in particular you can always ask and they will give you an honest answer if they can get it when they can get it or wear it is in the store if you happened to walked past it. Not only are the steaks and burgers etc delicious, you also get a much better selection than you would at the meat counter at the grocery store and the prices are easily 20%...

I shop here often. Good meat good prices. Clean store. However I was there today and was distracted by my daughter and forgot to take my bags. I went back 30 mins later receipt in hand and was refused compensation. The cameras were watched and verified that I paid and left the groceries. But because I didn’t touch the bags they would not give me the merchandise and assumed it was picked up by another customer. I realize that I don’t have a way to get refunded or compensated but the customer service was very poor. I’ve never been treated so badly anywhere. They were unsympathetic and basically accused me of being irresponsible for leaving the bags because I was watching my four year old. Make sure you take your bags people because they won’t care...
