If you are looking for a Balayage DO NOT go to this salon. I have never written a review like this before. I felt my experience needs to be known so other's don't make the same mistakes. In short, I asked for a Balayage & cut/style, I showed a picture (see below) dark at root light at the bottom. The stylist said we can do that it will be around $350. Never have I paid near this for hair but I am new to the area and knew this technique was difficult AND I wouldn't need to go back often because the root would not show as with highlights. I also wear my hair up 90% of the time and did not want my roots to look grown out as my hair grows.
I went in 4.5 hours later my hair was darker than when we started and looked NOTHING like the picture. She didn't cut or style my hair because I asked her to stop once I saw there was no blonde. The stylist apologized and the manager said they put the WRONG chemicals/colors on my hair. They asked me to come back the next day. They took my CC number. I thought they were just going to hold it until I returned the next day. They CHARGED it for the full amount even though the services were not done nor complete.
I came back in the next day, the stylist redid my hair. Stripping, bleaching and processing my hair a second time. I kept saying I don't want light roots that's why I came here and am paying for this technique. In the end, I left with normal highlights to my root. It doesn't look bad, I used to get highlight when I was younger. However, now I'll have to have it redone in 4-6 weeks or look like my coloring is grown out. My hair is extremely frizzy from the double processing.
When done there was no refund, no products, no nothing. When I said this is not what I asked for. The stylist and manager told me what I asked for would have made me look washed out. When I asked for a number I could call to talk to someone higher, I was told I couldn't have one. I had to write an email to the owner on file to get a call back. They said come in and we'll take half off your next visit. I said so sorry but I don't want to come back so they gave an $85 credit which didn't even cover the child care I had to have on day two of going back to be redone. This was by far my worst experience in 20+ years of having my hair done. *The stylist was SUPER nice and just made a mistake (which we all do) but how it was handled was the issue.
I hope this review helps others looking for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a new client to this salon and was looking forward to my appointment. I had chosen to make the 45 minute drive to this salon because the prices seemed much more reasonable compared to those of the salons closer to my area. Their website advertises their partial balayage starting at $121, and women's haircut starting at $49. When I confirmed my appointment over the phone, I asked the receptionist if I could be given a general idea of what the price would be for the stylist I was scheduled with, as I understand that it could vary and did not want to book the appointment if it was out of my budget. She said she could not give me an estimate at all, and it would be up to my stylist.
At my appointment, I was quoted $373 for the partial balayage and haircut. I know that the prices on the website did not include all of the add-ons, but was still shocked that this quote was nowhere near what was advertised. I have been getting the same hair style and cut for the past 10 years and have NEVER paid this much or seen such a discrepancy between what a company's website shows vs. what I'm charged. Because of this, I chose to leave my appointment. While I appreciate my stylist letting me know the price before starting, it's disappointing that there wasn't more transparency beforehand, and my appointment slot could have been filled by another client. It was a waste of time for everyone. At least the other salons in my area were honest about their prices.
Additionally, when I had gotten to my appointment, I was told I had gotten the time mixed up, even though I had received 3 text messages from the salon confirming the time I was there. They then realized my time was correct, and it was not a big deal. However - this, plus the lack of price transparency, plus the fact that no one I interacted with at the salon was very welcoming did not make for a good first impression. I never make complaints about customer service, but this was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMade an appointment for my daughter to get her hair done for homecoming. I was VERY specific on what she wanted, even sent pictures. Also specified her asian hair type. Had the appointment for a month. Called a week and a half before to see if I could get the stylist's portfolio pics. They gave me her IG account info. No updo's or special event hair, only color and cut (which looked nice). I contacted her on IG and she stated that she didnt really do updo's. Called the salon back and they rescheduled us for later in the day with another stylist, Char. I specified that we HAD to be out by 1:30 for her makeup and limo would be arriving shortly after. Appt originally at 10:30, now noon. We get there be 11:40, in hopes of getting in a little early. 12:15, Char is just chatting away. I finally ask the front desk person when we will be seen. They go get Char. We show her the pictures, she assures me everything is good, but itll be an upcharge because of special event hair and they had updo? Ok, cool, let's get this going. I'm out in my car, waiting so as not to take room in the already crowded waiting area. 1:25 I walk into a HOT MESS. I asked her if she was able to even do this simple style. She insisted yes. I had to get a manager to basically make her take the robe off my daughter so we could go. I was nice about it, but we had to go and they didnt charge me. You'll see why in the pics This disaster took an hour and a half. We left AFTER 2. I ended up fixing it at home. The first pic is what we were going for. Now, I realize the model's hair is thicker, but I mean....check...
