Garza's Floral & Gift Shop — Local services in Laredo

I called the flower shop to make sure my delivery would be there before 1pm (person receiving it would not be there after). I was happy to see that they made sure that was done. Customer service, ordering, processing, was all efficient! My issue, which is why it's a 3 star review and not a 5, is because the arrangement I ordered is made up of all roses. The arrangement received had some pink carnations to replace some pink roses. I understand the small print, and know substitutions will be made in the event certain flowers are not available. However, pink roses are not rare, you can find them at any local grocery store. I absolutely hate carnations, they are a filler flower, a funeral flower, and not one I wanted for my mother's birthday. I went in today at the last minute because my friend ordered a wedding bouquet at a different floral shop and she was not given what she was promised/paid for. Garza's flower shop, even though they were busy, took the time to listen and paid attention to EVERY last detail to make the new bouquet absolutely beautiful. I was shown the different shades/types of flowers they had and the additional flowers that could be used or even painted to match the primary choice of flower. Mary, the florist designer, even took the time to mix the paint until we got the exact color scheme that my friend wanted. On top of everything, I was on a short schedule. They had it ready in about 15 to 20mins. Thank you so so much for your time and for taking everything I said into consideration. They do a beautiful job with every order. My mom has told my sisters and I that this is the only flower shop in Laredo we're allowed to use. Fresh, vibrant flowers and excellent customer service. My mom likes to tell the story of when the driver came to the house and she wasn't there. He called her cell and she was just walking in the door of Taco Palenque and told him she'd go home after she ate lunch. He brought the flowers to her at the restaurant. It happened again another time that she wasn't home and remembering 2 months earlier he asked, "Do you want me to meet you at Taco Palenque?" She wasn't there that time, but we really appreciate his willingness to go out of his way to make sure she got her delivery. He came back and delivered to her home later rather than leaving the flowers in the burning Laredo...
