U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Laredo Juarez-Lincoln Port of Entry — Local services in Laredo

Went to Laredo border to sort out a clerical error on i-94.

Opted for the pedestrian bridge (Bridge 1) first, crossed over on foot, walked back but the entry office at Bridge 1 was a very bad experience. Though the officers at the booths were helpful, they advised that my case required further inspection and referred me to their supervisor. The supervisor was very rude, refused to even let me state my issue, very self-assumptious, and literally told me to sort it out myself and maybe then he will 'consider' me for an i94.

Not giving up, I then decided to crossover via car from Bridge 1 and re-enter from Bridge 2. This time around, the officer at the entry was super friendly and helpful. He guided me inside the office to a fellow officer. The communication at this office was a breeze with the intent to understand and help. It took no more than 10 minutes for the officer to verify my documents and deliberate with his supervisor where they recognized that a clerical error had been made upon my last entry. After fixing the i-94, the officer even waived off the entry fee ($6 - though not a big amount but a priceless gesture).

The difference in attitude and hospitality within 2 CBP offices literally 900m apart is night and day. Kudos to you guys for being super helpful and hospitable. Keep up...

Import agent last name Gutierrez at 1235am today was very unprofessional. I cannot imagine a person working with our government officials with this un remarkable behavior comments : as are you hangover ask him what do you mean by that, when I asking person in booth to give myself to clearance booth this unprofessional agent say so to approach him to custom booth, ask him it's not his direction to make call but rather agent on booth to make decision, in past I have been ask to wait until called from inside booth officer to approach inspection walking lines outside Smart remark from custom officer Gutierrez."Are you hangover" at noted time. Last night this dude not sure if he was new or something couldn’t even understand him or his English had a deep Mexican accent or something but he was holding up a long line talking to each person for like 10 or 15 minutes at a time giving everyone an orange paper for second inspection for no apparent reason!!! He needs to be fired!!! he has no idea what he is doing. Giving everyone orange paper for ridiculous reasons. This second bridge is bogus. They asking me and my 80 yr old mom like 5 freaking times if we had drugs and guns like you think we are that dumb to stash drugs in our car ? How many times do I have to answer the same question?
