Save A Lot — Local services in LaSalle

Normally, we love this Save-a-lot. We walk a lot, and it's on our path. Normally it's great and the staff are amazing. Today, we had the one employee who is the exception. We walked to the store to grab a couple of energy drinks and some doughnuts. We got 3 cans, 1 small container of doughnies and a bag. Now, normally, when we get only a few items, they set them in the front part of the cart. She dropped them in the back of the cart, rude but ok. My significant other went to go grab the cans and set them in the bag and the cashier shoved the cart into her and away and said "you can do that over there" then started to drag another cart into the spot slamming it into the one she just shoved into my S.O. I am truly amazed at how incredibly rude and ignorant she was. Normally everyone is great and we love the place, but the old rude lady shouldn't be anywhere near customers, she will ruin the place with her attitude. The reality is, today, this place was less than 1 star, but when the old troll is sleeping in the back, it's worth...

Very clean and well stocked. Prices are ok for today. I'm going back tomorrow so I thought! I’m from Chicago,il and their Save a lot stores have so many more products and soooooo many more deals. I had just moved to the LaSalle area when I wrote that 1st review, now I know better. I haven’t shopped there since the beginning of 2024. And I won’t be shopping there unless maybe for water. Their meat section is so bad. They always have outdated meats, they don’t have a good vegetable section, it’s always so dirty or there’s a really small selection or the fruits and vegetables are horrible. I bought a pineapple from there and when I started cutting it for my grandkids it was really bad on the inside and when I bought it they only had 2. So there was no room for exchange and when I went back and showed them the pineapple I bought they were very hostile towards me and my grandkids. I showed them my receipt but it was like so what! I will NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING TO EAT FROM...

I always like my local LaSalle il save alot until yesterday there was a disabled man at the register he I would say maybe about 20 dollars worth of food he was in front of me in line they called for help I checked out with over 200 dollars worth of food an he was still at the check out after I finished he had a few gift cards to pay an he kept swipping the same card he was confused and the register lady kept telling him instead of helping him she kept telling him he used the wrong card again over an over so I paid the difference this is crazy instead of helping him out he just stood there what is wrong with people theses days her name on the register was Jazmine like come on where's the respect theses days...
