Carlie C's IGA — Local services in Laurinburg

I hate to do this, but I retracted my 5 star rating. Unfortunately the delivery service has gone down hill. Sadly they rarely deliver all the items on the order, and when they do they forget to add my phone number to get the specials and coupons. I hated having to call and complain every week about missing items or specials I was not credited for.. Some employees even failed to give me the receipts which made it extra hard to review. And half the time the employees I called were so rude and dismissive, like it was my fault they didn't ring the order up right. I begged for them to retrain employees, but nothing helped. I just could no longer afford to let them keep on average like $20 in coupons each week. It adds up. My last order, they just cancelled on me due to lack of staff. I give up.

OLD REVIEW -This used to be the Harris Teeter, and while I miss some of the products they had, I appreciate the new Carli C's. Most of all for the amazing delivery service. They deliver groceries for $8.95 per order which I think is a bargain. They personal shoppers are great about the shopping and you can add notes about what substitutions you would like, if necessary. They deliver in an official Carli C's owned van which makes me feel safer. I like that it's official Carli C's employees doing the shopping and delivery, instead of random freelance drivers. THIS IS MEAT GLUE. This isn't the first time or even the second time I have seen this from here. The last two times it was their "prime" ribeyes. This time it's their "angus" t-bones. I literally picked it up by the bone to rinse it and this is what it did without ANY pulling, just with it's own weight. Absolutely disgusting. Get your steaks elsewhere. I would also like to mention that their meat packages are a scam. The first one I got I tallied up all the individual prices of each item at home. It was 5$ cheaper buying individually than what I paid for the package. Disappointing recently there hasn't been any cashiers to ring up your orders. There is scan and go only. They also only have one hand scanner. They have to come and use it for you. The bagging area is very sensitive and does not weigh the items correctly. Causing it to constantly say something is in the bagging area. Digital coupons have been lagging enter phone number but they haven't been coming off. 9/27/22 Update it has gotten better but still not the same friendly staff as before. They have more cashiers to check you out instead of only using self checkout. Not sure if the self checkouts got better. I definitely don't go to Carlie...
