I'm giving one-star due to going to the washroom and while washing my hands, the toilet stall flushed twice and the occupant came out and left the bathroom without washing their hands. They walked away and the back of their shirt was orange and ws the Restaurant's logo. I followed them a little ways, literally like 7 steps, and they WALKED DIRECTLY INTO THE KITCHEN!!!
I told a waiter about it and they made him go back and wash his hands, but this was 5 PM and who knows how many times they went to the washroom and didn't wash their hands before, and possibly after.
Do most kitchen staff not wash their hands there? Was this a one-off? Is this typical of this guy? Do they prep food in the AM and it's contaminated? All answers of which need to be addressed before I woyld set foot ik there, personally. I have worked in restaurants and sanitary cleanliness is first and foremost.
Covid wasn't that long ago. CDC doesn't alert on outbreaks anymore. I don't want to risk my health.
The rest of the place seemed clean and the waitress was nice, though. I had to have her cancel our order before it was made, thankfully.
Please, owner, teach your employees that they MUST be sanitary. Especially in a...
Read moreI would have given a 0, but 1 is the lowest they will allow. I have never been so disrespected. They don't realize they need our money. Please do me a favor and put Mi Casita in Lauinburg NC out of business. The manager Cheli was not accommodating after I told the waitress the drink did not taste right and the drink was full. Cheli told me "no one else has complained." She refused to refund me or exchange the drink. She said, "it will only go in the trash." The trash is exactly where it belongs. The food also taste old and the health department needs to come in to inspect this awful place before someone dies from food poisoning! I passed several replicable Mexican restaurants only to receive poor customer service and the food to match. You need to be more like La Cabana. If you're not going to be accommodating make sure the drinks...
Read moreThe food was good. I enjoyed my carnitas dinner. It was a surprising $14. I wanted them to be a little crispier. I like the crunchy edges. I did get a few chunks of fatty meat, but it's carnitas. The seasoning was good, but too sparse for me. It was my first visit here. I will know how to order for my next visit. They kept air flowing through the restaurant, they have sanitation methods in place. The waitstaff is friendly enough. They are not overly present while you are eating. The place was dark, but most of the authentic Mexican restaurants are that way. I liked the decorations. They have a really good restaurant here. The place is busy too. Folks were carrying out orders, calling in orders and sitting in for their meals. I liked it. My guest(Southerner) not so much. Oh well,...
