Greendale Cinema — Local services in Lawrenceburg Township

This was the place to be back before tv/movie subscriptions started, and I don't want theater's to become a thing of the past, BUT the staff encounter (or lack there of) was piss poor during our recent visit. We went to purchase our tickets; 2 adults, 2 children 4 & 2. The clerk decided to make a rude comment on taking our 2 year old to a KIDS movie. Asking if he will actually be quiet during the film unlike the last child who apparently screamed & cried & parents didn't remove him from the theater. He was alot more negative about that comment than what I summarized. I was shocked at his remark and didn't even know what to say & almost didn't want to go through with our ticket purchase if it wouldn't have upset our 4 year old who was eager to see the movie. So we did. We were a few minutes late purchasing tickets so when we went to the ticket gate to hand then our tickets there was no attendant so we had to flag an employee down behind the counter. During the middle of the show my husband took our 2 year old out to the lobby because he was getting antsy and didn't want to disturb the other attendees & he noticed not a single staff member was out in the lobby. Everyone was sitting in the back office. Him being a police officer noticed the lack of security cameras in the lobby area and with the lack of staff keeping watch of the lobby there is a HUGE concern for everyone's safety in the theater. Great for family fun or couples night as I did.. popcorn 🍿 is a little pricey or maybe its just been that long since I went to see a movie. The seating definitely upgraded since I been you can now relax in a reclining chair which is amazing the only downfall on them is I wish the armrest was able to be flipped up when not in use especially when going to watch a scary movie it would be nice to be able to cuddle whoever it is that is sitting next to me to keep me from throwing my popcorn LOL. Got asked to leave when my three year old was just being a three year old and was just his little jittery self. I was refunded my mo way for the movie but at the same time staff shouldn’t be able to tell grown adults that they can’t take there child to a rated R move if the parents went to watch a movie at there own discretion. Being that they had sold the tickets and there was only 7 people in the movie theater on Wednesday night February 15. I will be going to Hebron Kentucky for movies for the next time we go and I’m a Dearborn co resident...
