Update-
Against my better judgement I thought I'd see if anything has improved in the month since I left my negative review regarding my interaction with an employee at this location.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. I tried to use a different lane, but the only short line was with the employee I've repeatedly had issues with. Oh well, I'm sure she's straightened out her attitude....right? Dead wrong.
First I get to the front of the line and not a greeting, a nod, any acknowledgement that I'm a human being, much less paying customer. Then I do what I always do, ask her to input my phone number associated with my country mart discount card. No comment, just a grimace & an the stink eye. From that point on not a word is said until I leave the store.
Is it a huge issue? Nope. Is it how even a horrible customer should be treated? Nope. Considering I am spending money, not causing a scene, or even doing anything to be so much as noticed, I can't comprehend why this woman is consistently so rude every time I have the terrible idea of spending my hard earned money at this store.
Summary- avoid this location. Usually there are 2 cashiers on duty- so you have a 50% chance to run into this employee that had no understanding of how to treat customers, and seemingly is unaware that this is a retail establishment, not her own personal house where she can be a rude as she pleases.
In closing- I know for a fact that country mart management does not care/act on reviews, or this wouldn't have been the 4th time this situation has repeated itself. I'm just plain sick of being sneered at every time I try to pick up...
Read moreI want to give a shout out to BILL at Country Mart on Gore Blvd!! Last night in the pouring rain & ridiculous lightening, offered to & did go out into the rain to move my car closer for me to load my groceries. He not only pulled up my car to the front; he lined the my door with the store door a perfect hop & I was in with little dampness. He then loaded all of my groceries in my car. Bill you will forever be an example others should strive to be like you! I thank you beyond the words I can say for your exemplary customer service. Read moreI was satisfied with my shopping experience. Like any store there will be great deals and not so great deals. I never saw the 10% markup that some encounter. Must be a fee for payment method. It is in a good location with the police and fire stations a mile away, so it is safe. Yes! the building is very old and has seen better days.
