We would not recommend. Purchased expensive kitchen counter. Product itself seems stellar, but the quality of the installation horrible, even after a second attempt at correcting the install. First make sure you are clear on what you are getting. When selecting the counter it was described to us that the product could be used for seamless counters (big slabs). We did the purchase thinking we were getting seamless counters for our new high end kitchen remodel. After a 50% deposit, during the laser templating measurement day, we learned there would be seams. Then on install day, the fabricators did overhangs into the 30” stove insert area, making it less than 30” ( not standard) along with a few other mishaps. That was partially corrected at the redo day (which came after a post install visit by fabricators to understand the things we were not happy about). The pro technical fix it guy who the fabricators sent agreed that the seams were subpar and he wouldn’t accept them if it was his own home, he could do them better. The seams were redone to hopefully make disappear better, they are now whiter versus grayer. I could go on. Sales rep first tried to get me to pay the balance of job before redo saying that “it was within industry standards” ( this after the installer fix it guy saying he wouldn’t accept the job at his house?). After the agreed upon redo, I again got a text message to pay remaining balance without even a phone or text consultation to ask how the outcome was after redo. Later the owner apologized, but offered no discount even after I shared that I lost two days of salary (once for post install consult and second day for reinstall repairs). Owner did offer to pay the $120 for the Sheetrock repairs the reinstall caused, but to me this was a slap in the face insult. If this business makes the typical 40% markup, I would have thought a 15-20% discount on this $8k job would have been more reasonable and considerate given the C- outcome of job and inconveniences and loss of salary this cost me as buyer. Plenty of other places to buy kitchen counters in the upper valley! Post review edit: the owner response here is not my understanding of events...
Read moreMy wife and I selected Cabinet En-Counter based on the numerous positive reviews of Katie, the designer that customers raved about. In our experience, Katie was generally unavailable, either being on vacation multiple times in a sixty day span, or away at design conferences. Bob, the owner, made regular excuses about how short-handed and overworked they were when we brought up our concerns over missed deadlines and incorrect configurations, but offered no alternatives except for his guarantee that we would be happy in the end. Well, I'm certainly happy that this experience is behind me, especially after spending nearly a week with a non-functional kitchen due to missed deadlines. Because of Katie's unavailability, my wife ended up coordinating all of the work with our contractor, and wound up selecting most items in the design without Katie's guidance, including, all plumbing, all lighting, and driving an hour to the stone cutter in the eleventh hour just to make sure the countertop color was correct after a botched delivery date was mishandled by CE. When the cabinets were delivered, there were major issues with color inconsistencies, and instead of jumping to make sure we were happy (a promise often spoken of) we were given extensive run-around and we ultimately gave up fighting just to have a completed kitchen, which still wasn't completely finished for three weeks past the deadline. Cabinet En-Counter never took accountability on any of these issues, and instead, in a truly ludicrous moment, the never-present Katie argued with me that I should have been more involved in the process. I reminded her that my part of the process was paying for her engagement as the project manager (though admittedly, in terms not nearly that polite). I would recommend looking elsewhere, even at the much-maligned Home Depot, for your kitchen and bath design...
Read moreI can’t say enough how much I appreciate and enjoy working with everyone at Cabinet en-Counter. They are all extremely knowledgeable, professional, helpful and such a delight to work with. I just completed a large full to the bare bones rebuild of our kitchen that took years in the planning. Lois was there from day one. She is fabulous. And has become a friend. Although I have a keen sense of design and I knew what I wanted, I still COULD NOT have done it without Lois’s help. She really knows design, has a wealth of knowledge on products like the cabinets and their functions and countertops and gave direction for electrical and all sorts of other details. The same can be said for Zack and appliances. It was so nice to have a one stop shop. They only carry quality and prices are on target so why go anywhere else when you get their full service! And full service it was. They were there to see everything was just as it should be. Their support was always there especially when it got stressful, as kitchen renos can be. My kitchen turned out FABULOUS and there is nothing I would do differently! Such a good experience working with Lois and Zack. Did I mention what awesome people they are?! …I highly recommend...
