I dined in and my waiter was very friendly and quick. I ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and the eggplant parmigiana hero for dinner. The mozzarella sticks were crispy without being over done - perfect! I ate them so fast, I forgot to take a picture of them. The marinara sauce I thought didn't have enough seasoning to transform the tomatoes into something Italian, but that seems to be common in these parts. (I am from NYC). Still, I had some marinara sauce left and used it for the curly fries that came with my hero. I was a little disappointed in the eggplant..it was as if the breading fell off and the eggplant was naked save for some patches here and there. However, it still worked as a cohesive whole. I did finish it and had no regrets afterwards. The atmosphere felt family-friendly, and there was a large family at a table across from me. And they manage that despite the casino right next door. I think there are 3 businesses that share a set of three single stall bathrooms. So you could be waiting to use the bathroom which could be a problem if someone is a frequent urinator. That is outside of my consideration for this review, but a possible caveat if using a bathroom is a high priority when eating out.

Several years later update. Came in with kids for a pizza and a brew. Pizza was decent and beer selection ok. The service from bartender was good and friendly thus my upgrade from two to four stars. It has a local feel and they show some soccer on some of their screens. As I walked in it was a strange separation between a self serve and full service area. The bar seemed unmanned although there were a few line souls having a drink around it. The floor was sticky, and the overall atmosphere was uninviting, hence my u-turn and decision not to dine there.

Village pizza and the cave are a staple in Lebanon. Since 1977 the pizza and subs have been great ! The CAVE which is the stucco cave like area is manned by some amazing staff lead by a force to be reckoned with ! Kelly is fun, fair and makes people happy with her banter and love ! The staff couldn’t be friendlier ! Sam on Mondays. A breath of air always down to chat !!! Don’t miss it !!!!

Usually I would rave about this place. I love the cave. Tonight we ordered food at 5. Said it would be ready in 20-30 minutes. I tip 30%+ on all orders, having worked in the food industry before i understand how much tips mean.

We had someone go pick up the food. A member of family that was at the house for our social party.

She left my house at 520. Anticipating door being ready around 530/535.

Called at 607 about the wait time. They said their printer hadn't printed the ticket properly, apologized for the wait and said the order was in process of being prepared. I asked for some kind of comp on the order or that a gift cirt be given to the party waiting. For the hassle and wait... was told yes absolutely no problem will do.

Called back at 630 when party arrived home with food. No comp no nothing. Was told on 2nd call that "they had a rush and they can't help it" pretty disappointed in the service given at this place.

Please understand I was not asking for a full comp on my order. It was well over 90 dollars. But something for the trouble of standing around and being given 2 different...

Consistently good food, both dining in & take out. Expanded menu compared to a "typical" pizza restaurant (Burgers are really big, greasy, satisfying, more often found at.a Pub or tavern, not some pathetic, skinny, obviously frozen, thin & flavorless burger you might find elsewhere), plenty of options for me (a vegetarian) to choose, and there's a bit of a Greek influence (gyro, baklava, spinach pie, tzatziki sauce). I've never had a bad meal/food/pizza from here. There's a bar in the back known as "The Cave", designed & decorated to look like the inside of a rock cave. Also shares a building with a little casino (poker, card games mostly) with tournaments & other contests/activity. It's a very convenient, trustworthy, moderately priced, "more than just pizza" Pizza place. I've brought everyone that comes to visit to this restaurant & everyone is always happy with it, and usually more than just happy. I'd definitely recommend it if you're staying in the area or...
