Over the course of the summer, I have spent well over 1k with Samson Historical. This company is fantastic, and I will enthusiastically recommend them. First off, the quality of their products are excellent. I have been very impressed at everything I have received from them. Their shipping has been very quick, and in the event that the items have needed to be made, they have still processed and shipped the orders well ahead of their manufacturing time stated on their website. I have never had an order not arrive, nor have I ever failed to receive an email at processing and shipping. The company has a very reasonable return policy, and although I have not needed to use it, its clearly stated on their website. I recently purchased a complete colonial ladies outfit for my wife. I went and had her get some additional measurements taken, and emailed them in after placing the order. Samson Historical quickly responded, and said they would forward them over to the seamstress. Her order arrived quite quickly for items that needed to be made, and fit perfectly. We both are very satisfied with our purchases and have been adding items to our wish lists for the upcoming winter. We will continue to do business with...
Read moreI ordered $650 of merchandise from this company, including a $45 linen cap. I wore the cap to a 1735 historical re-enactment event and learned by comparing my cap with others that my cap was far too small (and I have a "small head"). I called the company to exchange it for a larger cap, not even wanting a refund, but they refused. Don't do business with this company. I will tell all of my fellow re-enactors not to do business with this company, as well.
It is now 7:30 pm, the same day that I posted my review. Some man from Samson Historical called me to discuss my review. All he wanted to do was argue about the review, not satisfy the customer. He called me "unprofessional" and didn't like my "demeanor." I'm a Mechanical Engineer from Ga. Tech, and I have my doctorate in Education. I never one time cussed. I'm retired and much more "mature" than the caller. Who's unprofessional? Don't do business with this company. They care nothing about your satisfaction.
Beth Webb, you sewed four colonial costumes for my husband and I. You know us. You know I'm being honest. You should really reconsider referring people to...
Read moreI visited Samson Historical today and had such a pleasant experience that I needed to do a review. The Samson Historical store is set up like a colonial home with a good variety of colonial home goods, furniture and clothing. I recently became a volunteer for an American Revolution historical site and I needed help in securing a costume. I met with Chris and Clayton, store employees who helped walk me through all the items that I would need for an accurate colonial impression. Chris helped measure me and taught me all about the under clothing, dress and accessories. She was so knowledgeable and just a wealth of information. I loved asking her questions about her experience in colonial re-enacting. The clothing is of such good quality. I can’t say enough about the Samson Historical and the fabulous quality of goods and the delightful staff. I...
