The Burrow Bookstore — Local services in Leeds

I cannot say enough good things about this small local bookstore! I'm a bookish girlie at heart, and I've been dying for a place like this to come to Leeds. I popped in today for a short visit and was blown away by the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. It was so refreshing to share conversation with fellow book lovers, and to browse the impressive collection they have. I was so impressed by the fact that they vet each book to make sure they aren't putting out ones that have poor reviews! Another amazing surprise was how much space there is to come and work! Free wi-fi, hello??!! Amazing! Private study/work areas??! Can't wait to come use them! Also, their little selection of trinkets and bookish items is so good, too! I bought a candle today that is to die for, and it's made by another small business! I love to see it! Anyway, you can just really tell this store is run by readers, and that they really took the time to turn this into a space for other readers to come and feel welcomed. While traveling across country I am aiming to stop at little businesses that align with my beliefs. Suppoeting local shops as much as possible. This book store popped up, and it did not disappoint! I was able to find a few books that have been on my list to read, for really affordable prices. I also found enamel pins reflecting ACOTAR series, really cute stickers, and buy 2 get 1 free kids books! Definitely stop in, for easy gifts, great books, and excellent service! I took my two-year old daughter here to look at some books while we were in Alabama for a few days chaperoning a school club competition. The store itself is delightful - well organized and thoughtfully arranged with a wide selection and extremely reasonable prices. Staff members were kind and helpful, both in showing me where to find what I was looking for (and a few things I wasn't looking for) and in entertaining my daughter so I could look for a few minutes.
