Went to “Not Just Cardboard LLC” to sell some very old Yu-Gi-oh about 20 months ago after my mother had a stroke.
Two of my rarest cards
UR Miracle fusion CRV-EN039 1st ed UR transcendent wings CRV-EN039 1st ed
The owner Had seemingly swapped My 1st ed cards For non 1st editions, while he apparently had a woman in the store district me & get my back turned to him. (Not sure who she was) While he ducked out of sight behind the wall to his left (if standing behind the counter, which he was)
He also took a error card (Chaos emperor dragon) Out of my binder and “almost forgot” to give it back to me as well. Something that would have been lost to me as well, had I not quickly flipped through my Binder before leaving.
I should have checked each card & its edition Before leaving the store. (That’s on me)
I checked my price list that had all the details & values of each card I was trying to sell and they were definitely first editions. I only realized what had happened recently, when I was readying my cards to be PSA graded.
I cannot stress this enough DO NOT let your collectibles out of your sight while in this guys store. The pair Of cards were UNPLAYED and GEM MINT and were worth in the $900 to $1,200 Range combined If PSA graded.
To the owner, you’re the only person who has had access to my cards & I know what cards I had.
I have based my assertions on the facts & logical deduction.
My card binder has only left my home once (When I took it to your shop) And no one has or has had access to my binder except you.
I cannot prove 100% what you did in January of 2019, but if I am correct, shame on you (doubly so) for trying to give me $35 dollars for a collection that had a 1st ED B. Skull Dragon MRD-018 and dozens of other high dollar cards (not talking about the 1st ed reprints either) that are worth nearly $10,000 dollars.
Anyway SELLERS BEWARE and do not let your collectibles out of your sight, if you take them for Appraisal/sale to Not Just...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem for a collector, someone looking for a community to play games with, or just someone searching for objects of nostalgia. You can find books, comics, Funkos, cards, toys, CDs, DVDs/VCR, and the list just continues. If you are into Magic the Gathering, show up on Friday evenings.. I've been to many card shops, and game stores.. Never have I fit in a card shop the way ANYONE can fit in here. It's very welcoming here, and they have snacks you may purchase during your visit. Wide variety of cards. Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and sports cards as well. You can show up at this store every week, and will always find something new. I love it here, and I love seeing childhood toys/collector items here. Just an update to add on this shop is still going strong, and just as amazing as it was my first time walking in....
Read more!!!!! OWNER IS HORRIBLE !!!
I’ve come here countless times, spent hundreds of dollars, never asked for a deal, Never lowballed. But today,
I asked the owner nicely if he would sell me a comic book $15 cheaper so I wouldn’t buy it online and give my money to someone else. I’d rather give it to him and his business.
He was absolutely disgusting with his response. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Raising his voice and being very ugly.
I told him to relax and not get mad but he was just very ugly.
I will NEVER be coming back to this establishment.
And neither should you if you are reading this, give your money to someone else who is actually worthy of it.
Buy your comics on Instagram like I do for HALF of his price.
Just do yourself a favor and read the other reviews about him....
