I have never felt inclined to leave a review before but the longer I think about my time here, the angrier I get about it. This was the worst spa experience Iāve ever had. I got a text about a week prior to my appointment with them asking to change the time of my service, which wasnāt a big deal until I got there and was told it was my newly assigned clinicianās first day. She took me back to a room in a noisy SHARED SPACEāthat was under construction, no lessāgave me very little instruction and told me to change. She walked in on me changing and then asked me to get on the bed. I was wearing a little flimsy towel drape and basically flashed her all my business while trying to get situated on the table while she just stood there and watched. She didnāt know what service I had booked and didnāt have anything set up beforehand. I tried to move past all the awkwardness but then about five minutes into my service, her phone started blowing up with texts and was paired to the speaker playing the music in the room. It beeped over and over and over before she finally tripped over her chair with a big crash to get to her speaker to fix it. She didnāt seem to know how to use the equipment and loudly banged stuff around in the sink bowl trying to get things to work. I was trying to find the silver lining of this experience and was hoping the blowdry style I PAID FOR would redeem the poor spa treatment. As we walked over to the blowdry bar, my clinician asked me if I wanted to dry my hair myself or if I wanted her to help me. I was so confused because I had paid for a blowdry style. She must have seen my confusion because she started to dry my hair for me for a few minutes, then turned the dryer off and asked if that was good enough. My hair was still wet! I said it needed more, so she did a few more minutes and then again turned it off when it was still damp. She said they were only allotted 15 minutes to blowdry after and awkwardly asked me to pay while I sat there aghast. I asked if I could stay for a few minutes to finish drying my own hair as I had plans following the appointment and she said I was allowed 30 minutes after my appointment ended to FIX MY OWN HAIR. On top of all that, the location itself is not easily accessible and the parking is horrendous. Itās right after a blind curve and I almost got hit multiple times trying to leave as there is just no safe way to back out of the stalls. I left feeling so frustrated and disappointed by the entire experience. I paid a good amount of money for something I could have done better myself at home for free. Iām so mad I wasted all that money on an experience that wasnāt relaxing in the slightest and then PAID to do my own hair after even though I paid to have it done BY THEM. I would never go back and would never recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy neice and I had our appointment on Friday night and when we clicked the address they texted us it sent us toward Salt Lake. We thought maybe it was a detor but quickly realized it was indeed taking us to slc not lehi. We called and let them know what happened and said our GPS had an eta of 6:08 (our appointment was at 6). They said sorry and that it wasn't a problem that we would be getting there a little after our appointment.
When we got there we stayed in the lobby per the instructions on the text and the girls came out at 6:13. Abigail quickly said we were about 10 min late so they would be shortening our apt unless we wanted to reschedule. We explained what happened, showed them the address link they sent and where it took us and that we also called to say we were running late because of it and she just said "weird I'll let her know. Did you want to reschedule ? I don't want you to feel like youre being jipped".
We explained how I was visiting from out of state and drove here as fast as we could she replied with "It's just we close at 7 so you can reschedule or we will need to cut it short 10 min"
We gave up and decided to just continue with the appointment. The lady who did my Hair Play was Taylor and she was very sweet and friendly. Abigail unfortunately did not provide a similar experience.
The service itself felt a bit like a rip off. We ended up paying around $90 for someone to use a silicone brush and other items in our hair. Normally when someone plays with your hair it feels nice but this wasn't quite the same, especially for the price.
We paid for the same treatment but it was a different experience for both of us. A massage is included and Taylor massaged my arms, shoulders, and chest while my niece didn't get her shoulders massaged.
Abigail made it seem like she just wanted to get out of there and be done with her shift. Both us were so excited to try this place but unfortunately don't plan to ever go back.
We feel it has a lot of potential to be great but for the service we got it seemed overly priced, the location is difficult to find and there were some noises you could hear in the outside lobby area since it is a shared building with other offices. We were hoping for a better experience but unfortunately just left feeling "jipped" regardless.
Update; I wanted to provide an update. The owner reached out within 10 minutes of the review. She was extremely apologetic, and said she wanted to make it right. While the service was not what we hoped for, I do appreciate the fact that she reached out and wanted to make it right. That rarely happens. You can tell that she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI booked this appointment a month in advance and really looked forward to celebrating my birthday, but I did not have a good experience.
The cost is not competitive with similar services elsewhere, thus I had high expectations for the service I booked. The location is similar to an āimage studioā where other offices are rented to other business owners. This included some type of daycare with noisy kids in the hallways. I was expecting this to be a relaxing appointment. Although this is not a direct reflection towards Meraki, the location is not ideal for their niche. I had an evening appointment and imagine the noise is a lot worse during the day.
My spouse and I both had the same service done, and both felt that the employees did not provide the passion/ service we paid for. Neither of them introduced themselves so I am unsure of whom did my service, but we felt the impression that the employees were over their day and wanted to go home (our appt was 545pm and appt was scheduled for 50 min).
The Hydra Hair Bath I scheduled noted that there was a neck and hand massage included, but when I asked the employee stated the website had not been updated. Those services were no longer included, but included in the package thatās more expensive. She also stated a lot of other customers have questioned the massage inclusions and still, the website has not been updated. False advertising.
Secondly, the halo experience is highly advertised, but I maybe had a total of 30 seconds use (5 rotations) of the halo. I also expected the halo to be more of a massage, but it did not have any pressure. It felt more like rainfall and was used to finish rinsing the hair mask. The entirety of the treatment is done mainly with a nozzle/hose which ironically was better than the halo.
Lastly, at the time of hair drying I requested my hair to be completely dry to avoid freezing (since it is winter), but I left with wet roots. Also during my hair drying service the payment was requested which I felt was rude. As I mentioned the employees gave the impression they were ādoneā for the day so instead of questioning anything else, I let it go.
I wish this appointment was a better experience because I would loved to have made this a monthly visit. I left surely disappointed AND with wet hair. Hopefully this review will help put other customers experience in perspective, and provide them a full (as described) and better experience if they choose to book.
Unfortunately I could only make an evening appointment due to my work schedule, but I should be able to have the full...
