*Brunswick Beer & Cider Brewery. . .Located in Leland, NC A friend and I visited the “Brunswick Beer & Cider” Brewery last night, 12.28.2023. We knew that it was relatively new to our town and we like to support local businesses. Little did we know that we were in for a very enjoyable evening. It’s located in a very nice area near the entrance of the Brunswick Forrest development. The building was well lit and inviting. We were eager to see the inside. We arrived around 7:40pm. There were plenty of cars in the lot but there was more than ample parking available. The doors were opened for us as we entered. We were immediately greeted with welcoming smiles. There was no wait so we were seated right away. The ambiance was quite comforting. It was well lit but not overly bright. The dining area was open-space but not congested. The interior was very clean. It was like that “sit back, relax, eat and enjoy” type of feeling. The bar area caught my eye as it had a nice crowd and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There was live band playing some nice foot tapping music. Within a few minutes of being seated, out waitress popped over to tell us that she would be with us momentarily. We both appreciated the recognition that we had just been seated. Our waitress came back within minutes, brought us menus and introduced herself. Her name was Victoria (note: If you want a very pleasant, cordial and knowledgeable waitress, ask for Victoria). She was very accommodating with introducing us to the various beer offerings as well as other bar suggestions. She also made food suggestions to compliment the Teriyaki Chili wings that we had come to try. We only ordered appetizers but the menu had a great variety. Both of us said we can’t wait to come back (and we will ask for Victoria). We ordered the Brunswick Burger –delicious ! We ordered the Teriyaki-Chili Wings –Super good. We got some curly fries and some sweet potato fries ( great dip came with fries). All of which was cooked to perfection. We had a couple of bourbons from their very nice selection. The drinks were customer friendly. Both me and my friend are definitely returning very soon with some additional friends. I can’t wait to try some of the other offerings on their menu. I strongly recommend you giving them...
Read moreWe visit Brunswick Forest and Cider frequently, and to be honest, this is the first bad experience that we've ever had. We love their food and beverages. It's the service tonight that we took exception to. We arrived just before 7:30pm on Saturday evening (2/25). We were seated quickly and placed our drink orders. Drinks arrived in a timely manner. Waitress (Rachel) took our dinner order, wrote nothing down, then proceeded to an adjacent table, and took their order. The adjacent table got their appetizer. About 8:00pm our waitress put 2 empty plates in front of us. About 10 minutes later, she tried to deliver a pizza to us, which we said we didn't order. Flustered, she gave the adjacent table the pizza and got them 2 clean plates. She came to our table and asked what we had ordered, as she couldn't find any unclaimed meals in the kitchen. She said it must have been entered under another name or deleted. She offered us french fries while she put our order in. We said no thank you. In about 10 minutes she plopped our meals down and left us. Never came back to check on us and see if the food was ok or ask if we wanted another drink. I had asked for to go boxes when she brought the food because I knew that my husband was getting tired. We ate half our burgers and sides, and then packed up the rest. She put our check on the table, we left her cash, and we left. She never once apologized or admitted responsibility for us waiting at least one hour for our food. We have been there when it is packed with people and have had wonderful service and friendly people. This will not deter us from going back there, but we felt we needed to call her out for her...
Read moreWalking into Brunswick Beer & Cider feels like stumbling onto the set of a hospitality fairytale. The staff don’t just serve you—they practically adopt you. I swear one server looked at me with such kindness I half expected them to tuck me in for a nap after my oysters.
And let me tell you about those oysters… they weren’t just oysters, they were divine little pearls of ocean magic. Each one tasted like Poseidon himself whispered “you deserve this” before handing it over. I actually considered writing a thank-you card to the Atlantic Ocean.
Then came the drinks. Oh, the drinks. If Willy Wonka had brewed beer instead of chocolate, this is what his factory would have looked like. The sheer variety of drinks nearly sent me into an existential crisis because I wanted all of them at once. And every single one? Incredible.
But really, what makes this place special isn’t just the food or the drinks—it’s the people. The staff radiate this pure, effortless kindness that makes you feel like you’ve been coming there for years, even if it’s your first time. In a world full of rushed service and blank stares, this place reminds you that hospitality is an art form.
In conclusion: if you don’t go here, you’re making a terrible mistake. I’m so glad this place exists—without it, I might just lose faith in humanity,...
