Went to PCJ drive thru and ordered my usual regular coffee w/milk and sugar. My debit card was charged $157.00 the first time and a second time for the correct amount. Nothing ever said to me about the accidental charge, I found it on my bank statement that afternoon. That's not the bad part, I understand accidents will happen. I went to the shop that same evening and the girl behind the counter called the 'manager', Nicole. The girl behind the counter said there was a glitch in the system causing the first charge and took my name and number to have the 'manager' call me in the morning. It's now two days later and have yet to hear from the 'manager'. I rectified the issue with my bank, but a call from PCJ was the least I would expect. Really, really bad customer service!
7/19/23 Your Cups Suck! I visit the drive thru daily. With coffee in hand I drive to the other side of the parking lot to my place of work. By the time I get there, I often have more coffee on my car, pants, hand and console. The coffee top either pops off and pores coffee all over me or the seal leaks. Read moreThe pressure of tipping has got out of control here and the lattes are average at best. Ive really become tired of getting pressured to tip after being charged nearly $7 for an okay latte. I dont go here often because of the high prices. I've been occasionally going here for a few years on and off. I went through the drive thru this morning and paid with my card. The girl at the window asked me if I wanted to tip her. At the drive thru? Really? Youre not waiting tables. Youre not bartending. Im in a drive thru. If the staff is asking for tips, either they need to go work a serving job or they need to re-evaluate their pay scale. I don't think staff should pressure customers for tips the way this place does. You have your a tip jar and that should be the extent of it. Waiters dont even ask about tipping. I hadn't even recieved my drink before this young lady was asking for more money for a service she had yet to provide. I am usually rudely told how to order my drink (even though I order the same drink daily from the PCJ on Carolina beach road and have no problem) and always receive my drink wrong. I am very clear when ordering that I need almond milk instead of milk due to being allergic and every time I receive milk in my order. Who ever they had running the drive thru window this afternoon should be removed from doing that certain position. They were extremely rude when I asked them to make sure to do almond milk due to my allergy and I ended up just driving away due to their attitude.
