My neighbor across the street has been using these guys for awhile. I noticed that she was switching her appliances out often. She seemed to have issues with them shortly after getting them, even the ones she has now have issues. I found myself in a bind, so I thought I would try them out regardless. Big mistake. My brother bought a washer/dryer set from them like 7 months ago. The timer on the dryer NEVER worked, but since it did get hot, I kept it. Well about a week ago (i'm assuming) the heating element went out. I called to tell them that, got no response when I told them. I thought maybe they repaired them as well. Anyway, against my advice, my brother went there last friday to get another one. They showed up at my house today with another NON working dryer, and it wasn't even the one he picked out. I started that dryer the minute they left, because I had already begun washing. AN HOUR LATER that dryer was still cold, clothes were still wet. When the guy came back out, he looked me in my face and said "it's getting warm"... REALLY? I felt all around the in/outside of that dryer... COLD. Then he tried to say I had too many clothes in it...really? One load? Even IF that were true, that has nothing to do with the fact it wasn't heating up. My brother and I went back up to the store to pick out something else, we were immediately met with an aggressive salesman, who told us the dryer we got WAS the one he picked out. I said so my brother is lying? He then walked away, so another man came from behind the counter, began asking me stupid questions... and saying it takes time for the dryer to heat up.. really? It takes a dryer (now) 90 mins to warm up? Then he said well it takes 45 mins for a load to dry. I then said..yeah, its been going for over an hour sir, clothes are still WET! I told him that 3 times, when he didn't have an answer for that, then he tried to blame it on my washer. (that I also got from them) tried saying the washer wasn't' getting all the water out... OMG it was one thing after another, or he simply deflected. Then he started saying he didn't want to argue, and refunded our money. I was fine with that. I have NEVER dealt with a company that behaved this way. We can take our money anywhere. You sell me a defective product, then proceed to bring me another defective product.... Then have the audacity to try to gaslight me into thinking its something I'm doing!? Nice try. Their customer service needs serious work. There was NO apology, no..let me make this right..nothing! Just insulting my intelligence and basically saying "here's your money" now go away, when it didn't work! My neighbor said she was done with them too. I don't know who all these people are giving them such great reviews (probably family and friends) , but I assure you, it's not the norm. For what they are charging for their used junk, just wait. Save a little more, and buy yourself something...
Read moreI walked in to buy a stove since mine was going out. I walked in as someone was returning the stove they had purchased from there claiming it didn't work. that should of been a red flag to me right away, however I thought well sometimes it happens I looked at a stove like I wanted black and stainless smooth top. It was used witch is okay with me, but when I seen the price of $375.00 I got a little nervous since it was not in the best condition. I did need a stove at the time so I was willing to pay that price, so I asked about delivery since I could not get it in my car. The man I spoke to then told me that the price of $375.00 did not include delivery and that since they did not offer delivery directly through them that it would be another fee. ( I assumed some sort of fee would apply for delivery) he proceeded to tell me that it was a curb side delivery witch meant it would be dropped off at my curb and I would have to get it in my house. What?!? I can not get a stove in my home there is no way I could do it alone. Needless to say the place is a joke. I left there and went to Happy's in St. Charles and got a brand new stove black and stainless smooth top for $300.00 with a year warranty and free delivery with them binging it in my home and hooking it up and taking away my old stove. DO NOT GO HERE OVERPRICED for what they have. GO TO HAPPY's they will take better...
Read moreBought a refrigerator a few months ago only to find out that it was a dud a month later. I had 3 deaths in the family to deal with during the time so calling the owner was not a priority. Finally got around to calling and had to call a few times before getting a hold of someone, only to find out the owner did not want to help me. He did offer 25% off another fridge if I brought mine into them. Why would I buy anything else from a store that sells "iffy" merchandise and an owner not willing to take responsibility for doing so?! And I had no way to bring them a fridge considering I had to pay extra for it to be delivered at purchase. At the very least they could have offered to come take a look at it or offer me a trade in...under the circumstances. The purchase process was great...The salesman was very helpful, asked me to offer him a price and he took what I offered. The original price was high. They delivered, had to bring merchandise into home by ourselves though...thank goodness I had help from family. I paid $240.99, plus 40.00 for delivery. The fridge worked almost a month, then the temperature gauge started to freeze everything in the fridge area, and when lowered, it leaked water. I would NOT recommend this store unless you are prepared to gamble your money on a dud. Owner...
