BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
Once the Lemay location was a clean nice store with great friendly employees, oh wait, that is when it was Shop n Save before the buyout. Since then, this store has gone down hill and I will no longer visit the Lemay or any other Schnuck's location for that matter until the Lemay location is on par with cleanliness and fully stocked just as well as your stores in more affluent areas.
BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
The people in Lemay are not 3rd class citizens and we deserve a 1st class store like those in Kirkwood and other affluent neighborhoods get. There should be no disparities!!!
BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
The floor in the Lemay is torn up, marred, and scuff marks everywhere. Around the coolers, the water absorption look like they have not been changed in months. I went in a few weeks ago with a list of 22 items and they were out of 13 of them. Basic items, common items, normal items, NOT anything abstract. I asked one of the managers to please explain why this location looks like it does and stocked like it is. This is not a one time occurrence. Every shopping trip for the last year, not one time have I been able to purchase everything on my shopping list at this location!!! Excuse I got was the company as a whole is having supply chain issues and as far as how the store looks it is what it is according to corporate.
BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
After that I left with no items from the Lemay store and went to the Schnuck's on Manchester in Kirkwood. Do you have any idea what I found? I found a store that was clean and bright. The floor was spotless with no water absorption mats to be found anywhere. Every item I needed on my shopping list was found on well stocked shelves that were clean with pricing labels in the correct locations.
BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
This is discriminatory and a form of class warfare against the working class neighborhood of Lemay and the people that live here. I wonder what other locations you have discriminatory practices?
BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
I sent in a complaint via email about a month ago and received ZERO response. In my message I asked for a response and stated if I had none I would go to social media and spread the word every day until the issue is rectified and corrected. That starts here today.
BOYCOTT SCHNUCK's
If this is how you treat your customers you deserve to go out of business!!!

Read moreThis is about the Schnucks on Lemay Ferry Road: It's an Ok grocery store. But, there's something about this Schnucks that just FEELS off. I don' t know if it's the area or what. Did numerous people die in this area??? Is this Schnucks built on cemetery grounds or what??? I'm afraid to look up the history of the area where this Schnucks sit!! For some reason, things just don't feel right at the Schnucks. Maybe it's just me!
Anyway, this is NOT a normal Schnucks and it shows. This used to be Shop N' Save and you could tell! It's like a Shop N' Save that doesn't want to be a Schnucks. It's kind of like a dog trying to be a cat. Imagine what that would look like! And this MAY also contributes to why some things don't feel right in this place among other things.
As far as it being a grocery store?? Again, it's not a normal Schnucks. So, some things that you would find in a regular Schnucks; for example, some of the cakes, pies, and donuts that you'd find at a regular Schnucks probably won't be found here or won't be found as easily and/or they blantantly don't carry it. They have a bakery section. But, it's not as elaborate as I'd find in a normal Schnucks. Maybe some of this again goes back to Shop N Save trying to be a Schnucks. Schnucks DESIGNED their stores to be conducive to certain items and those items being in certain places (and vice versa like Shop N Save was); and thus, this might be part of the reason you might not find certain things. This may not be true about all Schnucks converted stores, but I found it to be a bit true with this one (sometimes); especially regarding their bakery. I could go to the Schnucks on Clayton Rd; a place DESIGNED to be a Schnucks on the same day, and find everything that a Schnucks would normally have!
This is an OK grocery store. It's so-so. You might find most of what you're looking for here. Ok, I'll just go ahead and say that this place is basically Shop N Save. So, sometimes, when shopping at this Schnucks; if you remember Shop N Save, use that as your guide as to whether you'd find certain things or for where things might be lol; even though this place has been "converted" to Schnucks YEARS ago, its Shop N' Save stance and foundation is still pretty strong! Otherwise, if you TRULY want Schnucks, you're better off going to a normal Schnucks!!
This is an OK grocery store. Again, my main qualm about this place is the way it FEELS when shopping here. But,...
Read moreThis is, no wait, WAS my #1 place to get groceries for the past 6 years. I live right across the street, and the staff has always been wonderful and my 2 year old LOVES the little carts and you can't beat the sales! However, I won't shop at another Schnucks for a long time. They close at 10:00 PM and tonight my boyfriend and I pull into the parking lot at 9:57 and my boyfriend parks the car and jumps out to walk to the door. And is turned away by a staff member locking the door in his face. "We're closed." So my boyfriend then says "Umm, it's 9:58? You close at 10:00 PM and all I want is a case of soda." The guy just turned away. How freaking rude! He would have made it to the checkout by 10:00PM and would have been out by 10:01 PM. I'm shocked that they did this. They're always so welcoming, even last minute. We've been going there for years and always see the same people so I know he recognized my boyfriend as a frequent shopper, he just didn't care. We feel betrayed.
OH! And after he turned my boyfriend away, he let the last shopper run out to his car to get his form of payment and run back inside to pay! We would have been out of the store at...
