I LOVE the way God’s message hits my soul!! Every time!! Even though I live in NKC, this is my home church and I love going, I love how everyone is so welcoming, how my children have there own class on Sundays and how God moves in this church, But the best part about this church is that they do not shove God down your throat, they are there to make you feel comfortable about you’re encounter with God…. I started coming here and there in the beginning, I felt the word every time, and then God knocked on my door and it was time to open that door and walk with him fully… Pastor Matt is funny and when he speaks I can fully relate and truly understand what he is saying, it makes me feel like I’m part of the church family and motivates me to continue my walk with God, I feel no Judgment here. I absolutely love LCC... This church just does not compare to other churches that I have been to in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Lenexa Christian Center is in a league of its own... It always has been since I first stepped foot into it as a nine year old little boy back in 1997. I'm not sure why I ever left this church. I have so many great memories of the Oneighty Youth group when I attended from 2002 to 2007 and also the main service sanctuary. I've experienced no stronger spiritual growth anywhere else than here. The Holy Spirit has always moved me to great heights in the Lord here and given me courage to step out of my comfort zone. May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless Lenexa Christian Center. On my only visit to this church, I was feeling broken and when the call was given I went to the altar for prayer only to be physically pushed aside by a member of the staff. Apparently, they were seeking a different kind of person to be captured by the large cameras that panned the sanctuary.

In response to the church's reply, I have no doubt whatsoever that I was pushed intentionally. Also, the cameras were right there. Hopefully, things have changed since my visit. While name of the church has since changed, I see Pastor Purkey is...
