Wesley Farms Market — Local services in Lenox Township

We've lived in the area for a while now and it's nice to see the space transform over the years into it's current state - a very friendly, clean and welcoming market for local residents.

I am a big supporter of staying local as much as possible, and I completely understand in this current economic climate how difficult that can be for some as prices can be higher in locally owned businesses compared to larger chains due to a variety of reasons.

With that being said, I have yet to experience anything remotely poor, or subpar when visiting Wesley Farms Market.

The selection (fresh and nonperishable) is always up to snuff and the prepared foods have been an absolute treat. Yesterday, my wife picked up a 12 piece Fried Chicken meal for just over $20, which came with 2 sides and I have to say, hot or cold, the chicken and seasoning of the batter encasing it has been some of the best chicken I have had in quite a while and isn't as greasy as you would find at a KFC, which is nice.

I have had 2 bad experiences in a row now with food not being fresh. The first time, the cheese was bad, it is my own fault because even the teen girl working the counter questioned the smell of the cheese. I got home and it was fermented. I gave the benefit of the doubt to this business but, last night I bought a cupcake for my boyfriend and he took one bite and spit it out. He said it was not edible. The frosting had a hard film over it because it was whipped cream left open in a refrigerated case, he bit into the cake and spit it out. I wish I could say it only happened once. I was also disappointed that a 1/2 dozen of pierogi cost more than a dozen everywhere else you can get them. You should probably remove the reduced price goods when they are as hard as a coffee pick. Good luck but I would advise people to check their food...

If you haven’t been to this hidden gem Wesley Farms in New Haven Michigan before I highly recommend it!!! They are a little family owned grocery store ran by a great group of people that care about the community as well as supporting veterans with their military discount.
