I’m glad I ignored the bad reviews!!! I ordered food here on Christmas evening with no expectations because it was one of the only places open - we had a pretty large order & it was done within the 35 minute time I was given, it was extremely clean in there & there were only 2 people working - running around trying to complete so many other orders, not to forget the people in the lobby being extremely rude and impatient toward both of them - phone ringing off the hook etc & they still whipped it up, seriously with 0 expectations of the food since it was my first time trying & they were so busy, everything was awesome. We had sweet & sour chicken which was super fresh, the breading was great, the portions were huge & the chicken was good quality. Loved the way it was cooked. The wanton soup was awesome too - veggie lo mein was great & the veggies were super fresh, crab Rangoons were great & the egg rolls are now one of our favorite egg rolls. The fried rice was decent (I dont think they use MSG like most Chinese restaurants - so it didn’t have the most flavor) but it was super fresh & good too. All in all 5/5 especially considering there were only 2 people working, on one of the only places open on Christmas Day. I’ll definitely order food from there again! & I appreciate somewhere that is willing to stay open and serve food...
Read moreThis is the closest chinese place to my house so I'm a frequent regular. Some dishes are better than others I've learned through experience but the ones they get right are great. They always cook the food fresh so if they're busy sometimes it's a longer wait time but it's worth it to have hot food. I tend to ask for no veggies or only certain items in the comments section when I order ahead on the website (only downside is you can't pay online only in store which isn't too bad) because sometimes they'll give you a LOT of veggies. My favorites are the teriyaki chicken sticks that are technically appetizers but I get with a pint of egg drop and crunchy noodles and make it a dinner. They're sesame chicken is the best in my opinion the sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and savory I always get white rice to tone the sauce down and it balances perfectly. The pineapple chicken is similar to the sesame chicken but slightly sweeter and with pineapple I also get that with white rice. Their lo mein is pretty good it has a brown sauce which I like since most places have a white sauce but it comes with a lot of veggies so beware. All in all if you're in the area I recommend I've only had a small amount of subpar experiences with them in the years I've been...
Read moreI have ZERO complaints about China Delights food - everything was made fresh to order & very tasty! (so tasty that my 15 month old, whos an extremely picky eater, ended up eating majority of the sweet & sour chicken/fried rice/crab rangoon on her dinner plate tonight, w out any kinda hassle! ayyyy!) the reason for 3/5 instead of 5/5 is strictly bc of their complete lack of & disregard for punctuality!!!! It was 6:43pm exactly when I placed my order & was told it wld b ready in '20 minutes'. I walked into China Delight about 25 mins later (7:10ish) assuming that I'd b in & outta there quickly.. but then 10 mins of waiting turned into 20 mins of waiting, which turned into my order not being ready until 7:41; which was almost an hour exactly to the time that i initially called in! I was extremely frustrated in that moment for sure, yet im even more frustrated now, seeing as how their nonchalance ultimately ended up disrupting the entire nighttime routine/schedule I have in place for my LO by setting dinner/bath/bed back well over a fuggin hour! thats not cool, China Delight.. NOT...
