I know times change and owners change and I have had several birthday parties at Spare Time facility when my boys were growing up and it was always a good time. What we experienced on 4/9 was a BIG disappointment! It would have been cheaper for me to rent a lane for 5 kids for 2 hours because that's all we got. Very poor customer service. The website states a birthday party comes with generic birthday party plates, cups, tablecloth, etc. and we received nothing. These kids were 8 and 9 years old and cannot lift heavy bowling balls. We did not acquire mass amounts of balls in our lane as children often do. We had 3...3! And when a father went up to ask for a lighter ball, he was received with rolling eyes and attitude. Unacceptable! And the food? These kids were starving by the time a single pizza came out and there were not 2 slices per child as promised. We had to go up and ask for everything...there were no "fruit cups" as promised although we did receive French fries. I certainly did not receive a birthday party package even though that's what I paid for. I received no apology...no nothing. Just very poor service and I am extremely...
Read moreNew name, same old equipment, same old problems as previous bowling company. In fairness the regular bowling has seemed fairly good but candle pin had problems, and not just my group. I saw other lanes with similar issues. Pins not dropping on reset, only some pins drop on reset, fence not resetting on reset button demand. Point in case, we (4of us) only managed to play one faster than usual paced game in 1hr because we spent the rest of the time walking to the counter to inform of issues, and sitting waiting for the lane to set/reset properly. When I followed up at checkout I let them know of the continuous issues and they could easily see we only got in one game, and the response was; “oh, I’m sorry about that.” This is why I stopped coming here with prev owners, I thought new owner and remodel meant an actual remodel and overhaul of very old equipment. I guess not. The groups next to us seemed unimpressed as well, which makes this a trend. I don’t bowl often, so if this is industry standard with common issues than I guess it is what it is. We’ll just stick to other hobbies...
Read morecalled and made reservations, some guy (wish i took names) told us glow bowling was 7:30-9:30 and it was $66 for a pizza and a pitcher of soda, along with six bowlers (shoes included). we got there and the lady at the desk told us we had reservations but that glow bowling did not start until 8:30-10:30, and that it did not include pizza and a pitcher of soda. so we decided to wait the time until 8:30 and ordered a pizza separately from the bowling package along with an order of fries to go along with it. pizza took 30 minutes and came out burnt, which isn’t awful, however they did not give us the fries we had ordered, then proceeded to tell us that we had never ordered fries. while bowling, center front pin got stuck inside of machine and we were forced to bowl without the front pin for the remainder of our time. i can appreciate that they are going through changes and have young employees but i think they are in over...
