Saint Mary's Square Shopping Center — Local services in Lexington Park

Very old shopping center, one of the first in the county! Has a good variety of stores and eateries! Main issue is it's located in one of the worst parts of St Mary's County. There's literally a homeless encampment in the woods behind the complex, so there's many homeless people around asking for money and I've even seen them in Weis following customers around the store begging and bugging them for money! You can hardly enter and exit the store without being harassed! Weis has done a good job of trespassing many of them but there's so many of them it's impossible for them to keep up with it! It's also fairly dangerous at night with occasional shootings, stabbings, and muggings nearby!! They've even built an annex of the sheriff department across the street to help cut down...

The parking lot makes you not want to ever have to visit the square. Potholes all over the place. Stop signs are nonexistent. And the storefronts are in need of a major facelift.

It's unfortunate as it's prime real estate on Great Mills rd. This square could be the hub of the area if only better managed..... very disappointing.

I'd love to complain about some of the stores that just sit empty. At least one of which feels very much like some kind of "front" for an unscrupulous business. But, with the poor state of the center itself, I can't expect...

Check this out, i came to the Black tie barbershop at 5am Saturday morning 12/31/2016 and i hear the alarm going off at the store that was once the food lion, i think the new store is called Weis, alarm is still sounding as im typing this review, the police showed up at about 5:30am, and only 1 cop came, he checked the doors and rode around to the back of the store twice and left, alarm is still sounding, i dont think the alarm is connected to anything other than the speaker in front of the...
