I brought two bikes to Battle Road Bikes. One was a bike that I purchased 2 years ago that I upgraded with a number of new components shortly after buying it. The other bike was newly purchased by me in Sept from a dealer in Florida after being unable to find this particular bike locally.
I asked Jim to transfer all of the upgraded components that I had installed on my old bike onto the new bike and to reinstall the original components from my old bike back onto it, so that it will be restored to the way it was when I originally purchased it. That bike is now for sale by me.
Jim and his team did an excellent job on both bikes. Whenever we spoke on the telephone or swapped emails, Jim, Matt or others on his team always had the answers to my questions and knew exactly where they were in the process of working on the two bikes.
The personal service I received was outstanding. The level of expertise demonstrated and their willingness to discuss everything that they were doing and why they were doing it convinced me that I had made the right decision to have the work done by Battle Road Bikes. They now have me as a new and very satisfied customer. In addition, I feel strongly that it is important to support locally-owned businesses. They depend on us for their success. Give Battle Road Bikes a try....they will not disappoint...
Read moreThese guys are the best and are now my go to place for my bikes. I have brought in both my bikes and I'll be back. I have a Dutch city bike which had a rear flat and needed a new rear tire as well. With the internal gearing, enclosed chain drive, and roller brake, it is a nightmare to remove the rear wheel to change a tube - I can fix a flat but I cannot take out that wheel. They discussed my options for a new tire (we went with an e-bike tire because I want to reduce chances of flats) and while the wheel was out they also trued it. Now my Dutch bike runs smoothly again and I don't have to worry too much about flats. I also had my Specialized Ruby with an additional wheelset serviced. It needed some professional TLC. When I picked up my bike, they went over all the major things that they adjusted/corrected (a lot more than expected, so thanks!). Another thing I greatly appreciated is that they did not try to sell me on replacing parts that didn't need replacement yet - a frequent experience I have with other bike shops.
Also, they organize some rides and had outdoor movie nights last summer. I haven't yet been able to attend, but keeping my eye out for...
