DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE OR THIS CORPORATION! I was offered a deal in-store by Spectrum to bring over 3 phone lines within 7 days to have my $490.64 phone balance with AT&T paid off. Because my family and I were in and out of town, I set up the 1st one on a Friday (12/6), the second that Wednesday (12/11) and mine the following Friday (12/13), all in person. I asked several times if I was still eligible since I had started the previous Friday and was told I was and to go ahead and pay off my $490.64 AT&T balance before my line was transferred, which I did. I even talked with corporate on my phone while I was waiting in line, because the store had already made an error checking the box on the first line to make it eligible. Corporate reviewed my account and also implied I was within the window. A few days later, Spectrum corporate contacted me asking for my last AT&T bill to recieve the "buy-out", which I provided, and still implied I was eligible and I received the attached email saying I had met the requirements. Today, I followed up with Spectrum corporate and was told both the local store and corporate call center gave me bad information. The "7 day" window to be eligible was actually only from Friday to Thursday (not seven 24 hour periods from when I started). I was told it had already been escalated twice to corporate management and denied, so I am currently taking them to small claims court and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

These people are absolutely EVIL! A guy was at my door and look at his pic attached to this review. Spectrum is now having their sales people dress as policeman to get you to open your door which I did not do. But he left a spectrum flyer. This is not only an all new low , but a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE for the community. Now anyone will copycat this to gain access to your home. Cable service just became more evil. Don’t worry Spectrum I called my city council person to report this. You people are pathetic! I have Kinetic and love it!! Never goes out!

The most terrible internet provider on the earth, extremely overrated. My grandmother is not very smart, and she chose to switch over to spectrum from wind stream because she had misread their new policy and thought that they were changing her payment method. The internet is very slow and their cable boxes overheat, which causes damage to the monitor connection to them through the HDMI cable. Two of my televisions that I’ve had for over ten years ruined!

Needed service for my phone. Fast service. Courtous and very helpful. Spectrum: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Spectrum, the telecommunications giant, has been a household name for decades. Its extensive network provides high-speed internet, cable television, and phone service to millions of customers across the United States. However, Spectrum's reputation has been marred by complaints and controversies, raising questions about the quality of its services.

The Good

Wide coverage: Spectrum has one of the largest footprints in the country, ensuring coverage to a vast majority of Americans. Fast internet speeds: The company offers gigabit internet plans in select areas, providing blistering download and upload speeds. Extensive channel lineup: Spectrum's cable packages include a wide range of channels, catering to diverse interests.

The Bad

Expensive pricing: Spectrum's prices can be significantly higher than those of competitors, especially for bundled services. Frequent outages: Customers have reported frequent internet, cable, and phone outages, particularly during peak hours. Lack of customer support: Spectrum's customer service has been criticized for its slow response times, unhelpful representatives, and outsourced operations.

The Ugly

Data caps: Spectrum has notorious data caps that limit the amount of data customers can use each month. Exceeding these caps results in additional fees or throttled speeds. Equipment fees: Spectrum charges monthly fees for modems and other equipment, inflating the overall cost of its services. Hidden fees and bait-and-switch tactics: Customers have alleged being misled by Spectrum representatives about pricing and discounts, leading to surprise fees and inflated bills.

Conclusion

Spectrum's extensive coverage and service offerings make it a compelling choice for consumers. However, its high prices, frequent outages, and lackluster customer support cast a shadow over its reputation. Customers considering Spectrum should carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

While Spectrum may be the only provider available in some areas, it's important to explore all options and compare pricing and service quality before committing. Competition in the telecommunications industry is increasing, and consumers should take advantage of this to find the best value and customer...

Came into Spectrum store wanting information about streaming and different packages along with the cost of said packages in addition to WiFi internet. Right out the gate, the young guy hands me a paper that had the TV packages listed, but without pricing and just walked off. I commented about wanting pricing as well , and his comment to me was ā€œ I gave you what you ask forā€ in not such a polite way. He finally walked back over to the computer and actually pulled up my account and went over a few things. Here’s my problem, I am an older lady with no comprehension of how all this new streaming works which is why I went to the local store in the beginning to be able to work with someone face to face but he really didn’t have time for this older lady and he made that very obvious. My husband and I left , still in awe of how we were treated. We have been Spectrum customers for over 35 years and have spent tons of money with Spectrum. Then a week later, we returned our equipment which consisted of a DVR box and 4 other boxes. He first told me he could not give me credit for the boxes, but why would I return them if I wanted to keep paying for them????? Then I was toldā€well that’s not what you saidā€When I asked for a receipt showing these boxes had a been returned, he said to me, do you think I would just fraudulently create a receipt, which would be the only proof that I actually returned the equipment so I proceeded to comment about his attitude and at this point he ask me to leave the store!!! This kid needs some serious training in customer service. I’ve worked retail for over 47 years and HAVE NEVER dealt with anyone quite like this young man. I guess he just doesn’t like the elderly population!! Not everyone is tech savvy about all the new technology and how it works!!! It’s no wonder Spectrum is struggling!! Customer service and being treated politely goes a long way, neither of which this young man had. I will certainly pray for him because he sure needs it. I hope no else has had such a horrible experience at this location!! And you can bet I will never set foot back there! I will drive to another city first!! Or just actually get a new provider for my needs!! Very dissatisfied long...

Went here on Wednesday at 10:30am with granddaughter and a two year old great grandson was upgrading phone all went well until after 4and half hours later evidently the phone they were trying to sell me had a defect and my phone would not transfer to the new phone!!So manager was called out to resolve the problem and has to go out on a mask 😷 before he could talk to us !!!When ask if he thought we had something he informed us his daughter was sick and he was leaving that day to start a vacation and was going to California so to me we should of been offered a mask since it was his daughter sick not us .Told him we were starving and the child was hungry also told us to leave phones there with password and go eat and promised problem would be resolved by time we got back we went two doors down ate lunch immediately went back problem was not resolved and manger had already left without properly making sure it was resolved or staying to resolve it .So after being told again just give it a little longer so after 7 hours into this I ask for my old phone to be reactivated and credit my account back and was assured this would be done āœ… and now on Tuesday the nov21st it is still showing that new phone was activated and my refund has not been issued and the purchase of the phone transaction is showing active as if I left with a new phone 😔And also when the new supposedly new phone was brought out to me to purchase. It had no charge whatsoever and the sales guy even said that was very unusual that they usually have at least a 30% charge on all the phones so they can get the customer hooked up so I am saying that they were trying to sell me a default in Phone and don’t seem to want to do anything about the problem and you cannot call the store directly so I will be paying them a visit tomorrow and this will be resolved one way or the other. Just thought I would inform everyone. This is very poor service. I don’t really blame the sales guy. I blame the manager...
