Jane's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Leyden Township

i never post reviews and this is my first one because what happened was really disrespectful. i walked in because i saw a sign that they were hiring and i was in my street clothes, normal tank top and shorts because it’s hot outside, i’m 21 and wear what i like. i ask nicely about an application and the lady goes “i would love to give you an application but you need to come in here dressed for the job you want” excuse me? so at that point my energy changes and i just want to leave, i was with my boyfriend and i look at him like “did she seriously just shame me for wearing normal attire” he’s visibly angry as well. i feel embarrassed and she goes on “as a mother i wouldn’t let me kids dress like that and you need to come back in here dressed appropriately” …. i took the application and left without filling it out because i can’t imagine working with such disrespectful people. she tried to continue small talk but at that point i was so checked out i never want to go in that place again. they don’t even deserve a...

We came in searching for the yearly singing snowman, we were checking out and Sheila was helping us, somehow an item they only had one of was added to our receipt, a snowman mug...she went above and beyond and reprinted the receipt AFTER we had left already to double check the error, she was able to clarify the issue and figure out what happened, and was kind enough to call my cell phone since we are in their reward system and we were able to go back and get a refund for an item we ended up never purchasing. Literally the rudest store associates ever. They do not abide by Hallmark policies, will not do their job and then will scream at you. Placed an order for online pickup and was told they were too busy and I could come pick it myself. You should not own a store if you think it is okay to speak to customers like that. They also are absolutely clueless about Hallmark rewards. I gave them my Hallmark reward membership to scan at the register and they told me they've never seen that before.. it is literally from Hallmarks website. Do not shop here unless you want to be...
