My husband and I were purchasing our weekly groceries, including some beer and a few cans of cider. As we approached the cashier, we were not greeted—instead, the first thing we heard was, “Are you even allowed to buy alcohol?” We immediately presented our IDs without hesitation.

The cashier incorrectly calculated my age and proceeded to say: “You just turned 21 and already buying alcohol.” I responded that I am 22, and have been legally allowed to purchase alcohol for over a year now. The cashier then made a sarcastic comment: “Well, aren’t you impressive.”

After completing the transaction, she said to us, “Come again and spend more of your money at our store,” in a clearly mocking tone.

I found this entire interaction to be disrespectful, inappropriate, and unprofessional. As someone who also works in retail, I fully understand the importance of respectful customer service. Unfortunately, the way we were treated was completely unacceptable.

I am attaching a copy of the receipt which includes the name of the cashier involved in this incident.

I hope you will take this complaint seriously and ensure proper training and accountability so that no other customer experiences this kind of treatment...

Store does have a lot to offer which I will give them that but staff has been pretty rude or standoffish the couple times I've been in there in regards to cashier and manager, can't say anything about the floor workers seems like they're always doing their job. Older woman cahsier has to call manager because I stated the price of an item was 3.50 when the cashier said it was 7. I proceeded to go back and take a picture with the item I picked and the price under it. The manager came over and told me the tag was misplaced and said it was indeed $7. Small thing I know but how is it my fault the tag is misplaced when there is a row of the same item I got all reading $3.50. after it took about 10 mins for the manager to come over and explain the situation I just said forget it left the item that costed more there and paid the rest, the cashier then began talking about my significant other and I in polish to the couple behind us waiting in line, little did she know I took polish 4 years in high school and understood what she was saying.
