Juan runs a good business and really knows his stuff. I brought in a 2009 Nissan in with a defective rear backing camera, for which I had already shelled out close to $300 for two other mechanics to troubleshoot who couldn't find the problem. The dealership said the camera module is bad and wanted ~$1500 to replace it. When I took it to Juan he was able to look at it within 20 minutes of my arrival and gave me a diagnosis within about an hour. Juan's diagnosis and estimate are free, which was a relief after my previous experience. He had to take apart most of the cargo area to find the camera module and he determined that it had some water damage. Instead of having to buy a replacement, though, Juan was able to do component-level diagnosis and replace only the electronic components needed. This was very impressive to me - it takes someone with real know-how to do that - and it saved me at least $60-100 versus buying a new one. Overall it was 3-4 hours of labor and some minor parts and the total was $300. Not a bargain, but now the camera works and I just wish I had gone to Hi-Tech first before sinking all the money in other failed attempts to repair it! I highly recommend Hi-Tech Electronics repair and Juan is a good...
Read moreJuan was busy...and still took the time to repair my older audiophile grade cd player that I brought in for him to possibly repair. It was worth fixing only to me. He cared more about fixing my old unit than selling me a new one, which would of been easier. And he has alot of new name brand car audio equipment in his store front. The car audio install bays are in the back. I worked for a car audio shop in my earlier years and learned how to install all sorts of car audio quip. I grew up with Orion, MTX, PPI, MMATS Audio, JL Audio, XTANT Technologies, and my favorite, ZAPCO amplifiers from Modesto, California.
One of the few real electronics repair guys still around who knows how to disassemble intricate fragile electronics and fix tiny electronic components literally under a magnifying glass and professional soldering iron in hand; and diagnostic equipment that only and expert can utilize properly. There is a difference between a car audio shop who just knows how to sell and install equipment and a shop who...
Read moreWithout any doubt, I would highly recommend Hi-Tech Vehicle Electronics Repair. The dealership quoted $4,800 to replace the display control head unit. Other car audio companies stated they weren’t equipped to repair BMW electronics. After a few consultations, I was referred to this business. From the moment I called to having my service completed, I received excellent customer service. They secured a brand new display unit, flawlessly installed and programmed it. It has been 3 months and I have had no problems. Needless to say, I saved thousands of dollars. I only paid $1,000, which included the new unit and labor. The turn around time from my initial appointment was only 3 days. On the third day, I was able to drop my car off and in a few hours everything was complete. This business is reliable, friendly and amazingly reasonable in regards to price. They deserve 10...
