This review is WAY overdue. I'm very sorry about that.

I had a custom wedding gown made here for my wedding in 2018. I didn't have a concrete vision, just some shapes that I liked and the desire to add my mothers wedding gown train into my dress somehow. The seamstress listened to everything I said, looked at the pictures I had, and then wheeled out racks of old wedding gowns for me to browse.

I chose something hideous. It had awful trumpet sleeves and a bunch of extras that I hated. But it had gorgeous lace and I wanted that. So using that dress and my mothers train, she labored for weeks to craft a gown I'm still getting compliments on 5 years later, tearing apart that first gown and turning it into somethong completely different. She worked with my budget, she adjusted fit and size, gave suggestions for comfort, and even showed up on my wedding day to lace the corset. My dress proved to be more complicated than we initially thought, having to shorten the front about a foot so I wouldn’t trip as I walked and she customized some sleeves I had made by an Etsy seller to complete the look beautifully. I have a cashmere trench coat that I’ve owned for 15yrs. This was one of the last items I purchased with my late mother, so I planned on keeping forever. However, the interior lining was extremely worn and in desperate need of repair.

Karen highlighted some of her work and I knew she was the right person for this special project. She was timely, efficient, cost effective, and thoughtful. I was impressed when I received a text message asking if I had a preference which side I wanted my interior pocket. Plus, all the tags/labels were sewn back in their proper places. That’s the attention you don’t find easily.

The coat is better now than when I purchased it, with a much higher quality lining.
