I took my Acer to PC Services because I was having difficulty with the sleep mode NOT being on Win 8.1 anywhere and asked if they could install again and to get the SLEEP back on. 3 days later I was called and told everything was ready so I checked the pc and no SLEEP mode but I was going to be charged $80 for just reinstalling 8.1. I insisted that I informed them of what the problem was and was ready to take it home but then I was informed that PC Services does NOT take credit cards. Frustrated, I left. I was called the next day and told it was fixed. It was but I wasn't asked how I wanted the User name to read which I guess I should have informed them even though I feel they should have asked. I requested a step by step procedure but that never happened. I ran into another problem with a couple of apps not working properly but after dealing with PC Services I decided to DIY and reinstalled 8.1 myself and fixed the sleep mode problem myself. I now have everything working. An $80 lesson. Never going to PC Services again! Poor customer service...
Read moreI've been in twice to get my pc repaired by Patrick in the last year, once for an aio pump and today for what ended up being a simple short in a usb port.
The first time I brought my pc in on a Friday morning, they brought it to a sister shop in Watervliet after okaying it with me, and the people there diagnosed and ordered the parts for me. I had my pc back on Monday afternoon with a new cooler and fan expecting the cost to be excessive. They didn't up-charge the parts, and were very reasonable for the overall cost.
Today I brought my pc in around1 pm, and had gone to do some shopping. Patrick worked immediately on diagnosing my pc and had found the short that was causing my issues. I picked my computer back up in less than an hour.

I tried multiple solutions and finally surrendered to the problem being over my experience level. I contacted PC Solutions due to them having positive reviews compared to many of their competitors in the area. My experience touched on all elements of running a successful business, from great customer service, demonstrating a concern for my best interest as far as a solution to fix the problem, and all within a timely manner at very reasonable rates.
