Van Dorn Plaza — Local services in Lincoln

I don't know anymore I just live near it.

Two years Later 2025 July and other than having a Walgreens and Ace Hardware the thing we are missing is a local grocery store like we had 15 or 20years ago where Ace is now and Ace had the corner near Van Dorn Enter/Exit near the U.S.Post Office. We have plenty of food places but no fresh groceries close. And one of the best BK's in Town Across the corner could not recover after Covid. The good help was gone. Do many other food places got a TOO IMPORTANT TO CLOSE so that BK would have been very helpful to us during Covid as those Impossible Whoppers are pretty Great and with some fries & Onion rings and Coke Zero No meat, No Sugar some good0 flavor and we'll have to wait & see on the Sucralose sugar substitute.lol. Zero is SUPER Compared to Diet Soda like Diet Coke or Sh sh [diet Pepsi]🤮 we could use a smiley finger gag emoji.lol That's all for...

In the past 35 years living in Lincoln, I have seen the Van Dorn Plaza change with the times. Currently the plaza has Hobby Lobby, a Subway Sandwich shop, a Mexican Restaurant along with a few other place of shopping. Walgreens is another great place to shop for our neighborhood. I was at Van Dorn Plaza for lunch at Rolling Wok Chinese. The food here is an absolute gem. If you haven't been before, make plans to meet there for lunch or dinner. Also, if you don't feel like eating in they are very happy to package it up...

El Toro was a pleasant experience. Service was good. Our waiter was good. He kept the water full and the chips and salsa filled. The portions are extremely big maybe to big for me. The prices are kind of high but for the amount of food you get is worth it. My mom had a margarita and it was very big and expensive but she said it was worth it as well.
